2019 V4 does it have clutch issues

I replaced my 1299s with a V4s last October. The V4 clutch is certainly a big improvement over the old clutch. I have not had to bleed it since new. Incidentally, I also purchased a Srambler 1100 Sport last May, and its clutch is excellent - nice and easy on the hand.

A smaller diameter hose will increase the pressure at the slave cylinder so in theory it should improve clutch actuation. I've changed out my slave cylinder for one with a larger diameter piston which will hopefully improve the system, lessen the throw of the lever and bring the biting point closer to the grip.

Topolino what master cylinder did you use?

I hope they do not have issues with the V4R clutch. I plan to put my deposit down tomorrow on this bike. I have had the unicorn of 1199, so i hope to have the same experience

I'm in Orange County, CA so if you two have any more information from your dealers, please let me know. Bought my V4S from SoCal Motorcycles, Brea, CA. Thanks!

There is a recall on the clutch cable, ducati is replacing the cable with a smaller inside diameter line. I did this about two weeks ago and i still had to bleed the clutch last friday night and the clutch is chattering in first gear now also so it will be going back to the dealer for its monthly visit for troubleshooting/ warranty work :mad:
(Newport ducati is where all my work has been done)

Clutch cable? I thought it was a fluid line.

I went for a ride about 10 days ago and the engagement point went from nearly all the way out to close to the bar. I talked to the service manager and he said the smaller line is to keep it from being too close to the engine, where it's causing the fluid to boil.

I had him look up my VIN and my bike needs all 5 recalls performed. He won't have an oil cooler until the middle of next month (hopefully). I need to put about 400 miles on the bike so I can have the second service done at the same time. Sounds like I'll need to leave the bike for a day or two. Good thing I have other toys to choose from.

2800 miles and needed to have the clutch bled on a 19 V4S.....lame Crazy part is the dealer wanted to charge me for the bleed. Is there an official recall yet?

When I had my 19 V4S in for some warranty work last fall, and the shop said something about the spungy clutch and bled it. Felt totally different afterwards, never had hydraulic clutch before. Fast forward to Christmas and the master cylinder was leaking at the bleeder screw. Took it back in and they replaced under warranty. Only 4000 miles in the bike.

My 4 year old 1299 with 2,000 miles was leaking at the Slave but I feel like it’s still leaking a bit from the master

I have a 2019 and tracked the bike as well as ride in traffic. I’ve had no clutch issues.
