Well finally picking up my girl tomorrow! She’s all set but the carbon fiber winglets are not coming until October and the same with the gage cover and front sprocket cover. They might not be as late but hopefully soon.... at some point I’m gonna have to tell the Mrs about the other girl lol

i can feel it in the midrange which is nice. Also just got the first service done so exploring the top end of the rev range and it’s insane. Can’t tell how much of this is due to the exhaust.

Seems like you're having similar experience as I did when I testrode it. It was a showbike that would never be sold, so didn't hold back at all despite it having no kms on the clock.

Sorry about the radiator incident. That sucks, better get your shop to add some protection.

How was the bottom end affected by the exhaust and map? Especially below 6000rpm in 2nd and 3rd gear? Did it feel more punchy? Did your dealer say whether the map removes the torque smoothening in gears 1-4 from the stock setup? While great for track I felt it annoying on the road. The 44Teeth 2020 Pani V4S review makes it obvious that the exhaust/map is a necessity to gain back the exciting feeling of the Panigale. Did you have a similar experience with Streetfighter after exhaust installation?

Really appreciating your answers and sharing of experience here. At the price level these bikes and their accessories command these days, at least I feel I need to ensure I get a full picture before pulling the trigger and currently the review landscape seems lackluster at best on this particular bike at least. So we are left with each other's impressions.

Well I picked her up and brought her home. Absolutely beautiful motorcycle. With the magnesium wheels and a full exhaust system on and all the carbon fiber bling she looks amazing! Just need to put some bar end mirrors on and get my carbon fiber winglets and she’s done. I’m glad I put the super Corsa SV3’s on there. I’m going to need all the grip I can get by the sound of her exhaust!

Guys just wanted to let you know I was unloading the bike and all the stuff they took off of her..... Holy .... the stock exhaust weights a freaking ton! I have to fill the bike up and weigh her now with the Mag rims and AKR system. between the two I bet its 25 to 30 lbs.

I hear you on the pricing. It's getting a bit insane with SL's being well into the 6 figure range, superbikes pushing $50K and streetfighters approaching mid $40's with extras.

The only v4 i've ridden with a stock can is this streetfighter. My Speciale and v4r both had the full systems installed before i took delivery. I did have a 1299 finale edition and the full system on that bike made a huge difference. Ive only put about 100 miles on the streetfighter with the exhaust installed and it was one ride so don't have a fully vetted perspective. I'm going to get it dyno'ed so we'll see the torque and HP curves. Unfortunately don't have a before and after but we did dyno another stock bike. My initial view is that the full system does make a notable difference. It feels more urgent down low and the sound is soooooooooo much better. The weight savings alone is material. I didn't explore the top end enough to have a perspective there, but this bike is nuts above 10K rpm so it's not like it needs anything there. More to come with more miles, but I think if you buy this bike most will want to add something for the sound alone. This is not just a ducati issue btw. It goes for most stock bikes these days including the new superduke 1290R I just rode. Other than aprilia that is. The ape still sounds so good in stock form. At least the rsv4 1100 Factory.

Beautiful bike - what bar end mirrors are you going with and do you have a shot from the back interested in what tail tidy you went with?

Still need to figure out what mirror set up I want to go with. I’ll figure it out this weekend. I went with the rear tidy tail from the guy that sells them on this fourm Futurismoto. It’s definitely the nicest out there in my opinion.

Definitely agree the RSV4 1100Factory is the best sounding stock bike. It's just so right.

How did you like the new 2020 Superduke 1290R? I rode one a week after test riding the Streetfighter and found it lackluster at best. Maybe it's because I rode my blinged out 1299S to the testride and still the SDR can't compete.

Nicest tail bling I've seen no doubt.

I actually liked the SD. Agree that it's a very different animal than the SF. Doesn't feel nearly as precise or urgent. redline is so much lower than the SF, but with so much torque you can be really lazy with the gears and not suffer too much. It's fun to ride and a very competent street bike. Comfortable too, but it lacks the turn in and sharp handling of the SF as well as the bonkers top end. having 15K revs to play with offers so much versatility. I also don't think the SD can compete on looks or visual presence. Sound with the stock exhaust is anything but "beastly" while in the seat. Kinda sounds like a sewing machine, but it sounded better following from behind. Really different strokes for different folks. In the right hands I think the SF is a much more capable a machine. Suspension, brakes, topend, looks and with the exhaust the sound is perfect and the low end has more than enough grunt to be the hooligan when called for. Best of all worlds in my view. Now the price required to get it to that level with all the extras.... that's debatable .

I'm interested in how the V4SF will be when I compare it to my 1290SD. My Duke is modded like crazy. Full ARK, Auto tune, Velocity stacks, Rotwilder intake, BST carbon rims and added two to the rear and custom valving in the suspension along with RCS19 and 16 on the masters. She makes 106 Lbs. which is just a blast. I do have a fear that the V4SF will leave me wanting more in the torque department. But I know the top end and handling will be real good. Hopefully I can finally get out and ride my new girl as soon as it stops freaking raining!

It would be nice to know the weight difference on the wheels. Especially being the S model has upgraded wheels.

Yeah man. I was there also. When my dealer text me telling she had cone in I was thrilled. I didn’t think she made it on the boat.
If only I had bought the S model! My dealer was sold out of the S all the way back in late November when I ordered by bike. Well, c'est la vie, I guess

So I got out yesterday on my new Street Fighter and my son came with me on our way modded 1290 Super Duke. At first impression the torque is no where near the torque of the Super Duke. At First I was a little let down about the torque but after ridding her more I was feeling better about it. The bike has a great front end and is precise. The handling is great and is much better than the SD. The bakes don‘t have the initial bite I would like but a pad change will take care of that. All in all I need to get more time on her but so far she’s very nice. If the SF had the torque of the Duke and all the rest of the things she has it would be unreal. I’m very curious on how the new 1290SD is going to be. I know the top end drops off on the 1290 and the suspension is not even close to the SF but they were working on both those things and if they get it right it will definitely be a contender in the naked class.....

I would say the torque is way better than the tuned Panigale V4 and I was very surprised. The impressive acceleration after 8000 rpm. Cant imagine the torque of the SD if you say its even better.

Yes the acceleration is fantastic in the upper range that’s where it really shines. The Duke is massive off idle to about 10,000 rpms but at the top drops off. I wish you could blend the two motors power range together! now that would be insane lol
