I'm waiting for 2,500km just to follow Ducati's instruction. It's hard because at 7,000 RPM you can just feel the power start. Watching Ducati's vids on there site, it's clear that they don't follow their break-in instructionsMy first service is one weeks wait away, having the Akrapovic slipon installed at the same time and I can´t wait to hear the soundtrack.
Also, can´t wait to unleash hell on the revs but I´m still restraining my self until at least +1000km, how ever I regret to say that the owners manual kindly insist of NOT reving it free until you pass 2500km, a bit secure thinking perhaps.
What´s your opinion? Rev it free after 1000km or wait after 2500km?

Manufacturing? This year nobody knows Lets hope things workout for the betterwhen do Ducati start manufacturing MY21 bikes? with the announcement of the new v2 2021 colour scheme I assume its soon?
Just dropped off the cashiers check and will take delivery next week on a Streetfighter V4.
After selling my 2014 Panigale 1199 I've been itching to start riding again. I was all set on getting a Diavel 1260 but it was much bigger in person than I had anticipated. I sat on the SF and a Monster 1200 but that SF stole the show. Great rider position with that awesome engine.
Hey, I am from Long Island, New York. I got my sfv4s last Friday. I have about 340 miles on her. Head tech at the dealership is out on paternity leave so I’ll be changing my oil next week.
100% correct Cold (please don't start the engine or your wait time starts over) and measure what comes out. I'd only add that before you begin make sure your oil is right where it should be in the sight window. You'd hate to be low right at the beginning causing any later measurements to be wrong.I little word of advice my dealer said to drain the oil when it’s cold over night and measure what you take out and put the same amount back in. I changed mine and put in what the manual says and it was over full.
"wind protection" Yes that's needed... Better hang on over a 100mph or 160km for you guys in EuropeSo, some impovements done:
R&G Tailtidy (looks better but wanted a even raw looking end of the bike).
Akrapovic Slipons (great sound, so much lighter and excellent quality).
Tankpad (not visible).
Ducati Performance saddle (almost as comfy as the oem but just thinks it looks better).
Materya dash cover (recommended for the looks if you like it, great quality, fits nice on the bike and maybe a improvement in terms of wind View attachment 33137View attachment 33138protection in high speeds, took 2 days to get it with DHL. Dashboard Cover for Ducati Streetfighter V4 - MATERYA | SHOP).
A lot more to come...
