$509 for a decorative bit that you have to wait 6-8 weeks for. Add to that I don't think it would look all that good to have carbon rad covers then plastic wings. Then add the cost for carbon wings. Yikes.

Less than $20 for 3M black vinyl.

@meyer71

I have a pic comparison to show the Rizoma bar(MA009b) from stock .

Bottom bar is the Rizoma

Big difference from the stock bar:)

Top bar is the Rizoma.

Just a little taller than stock:cool:

What about painting the rad covers to match the engine bronze magnesium like paint color?

Just a thought;)

I considered painting them but when I do cosmetic mods I prefer to be able to return the bike to stock. I thought it would look better with a red front fender. Instead of painting the existing one, I just bought one from a V4 off of eBay. Likely cheaper that way too.

Removing the engine heat covers looks much better too.

I need to get a pic from the other side. I think the bike looks better on the non-swingarm side.

These bikes look great at any angle;)

Picked my 21 SFS up a couple weeks ago. One of the best bikes I’ve ever ridden.

That matte wrap looks good on the rad covers.

What’s the best way to remove those Plastic engine heat shields? Does the tank need to be removed?

I just did mine this week. The sub frame comers need to be removed and to get to the last bolt on each side the rear of the tank needs to be lifted. It’s not terrible to do but it is a bit of woek

Traded in my 2015 Monster 1200s for 2021 Streetfighter V4s back in August. Love this bike. Just turned over 600 miles about 2 weeks ago and service warning on dash is constantly. I need to bring it in to get 1st service taken care of and warning cleared. Is anyone aware of ECU updates...I have Akra race ECU.

I didn't take off the subframe covers but I removed the tank. After I reinstalled the tank when putting the Akra system on I had the clamp for the fuel line positioned differently than it comes from the factory, which was annoying me.

Taking the tank off really isn't that big of a deal. It was easier on the 1199 since the fuel line had a quick disconnect, but still not that bad.

@meyer71

Glad the blacked out shrouds worked out for you. Did you find the matte black 3M vinyl easy to install? I like that single seat tail. What fender eliminator did you go with?

For those interested, this is the product I used and suggested to meyer71.

This kit is enough to do all four with some extra. Basically, place the part over the wrap and trim it so you have about 1.25-1.5" overhang on all sides. You really only need heat, very slight heat at that, at the countersunk screw holes which is where I would suggest starting the stretch. I don't suggest using heat near the edges as its easy to get tears. If you have any wrinkles, lift up and slightly stretch and lay back down.
Yes it was pretty easy to install. I had to redo one but still have plenty leftover. I went with the New Rage Cycle tail tidy. The lights are bright and I like how it cleans up the back.
