Hey all!
I’m new here and I just purchased a V2. I’m looking to pick up a slip on for it but wondering which direction I should go. It’s hard picking an exhaust of YouTube videos. I’m thinking SBK, Arrow or Toce. Any suggestions?

One thing I'm curious about is the actual horsepower gains. Has anyone posted any dyno charts after doing a slip-on and upmap?

Pretty sure someone on the forum not to long ago copied and pasted Brentunes ecu flash results and Brentunes warnings about putting a pipe on with out a flash on the V2.I think there was some charts from the SLR flash as well on the forum.Posts should still be there. From my bad memory it was a little more hp and torque but more smoothness and much better air/fuel mixture from the over lean stock setup.

Oh yeah I think I saw that one but I guess I should have specified. I was curious about the akra slip on if anyone has any info.

@NoHesi is there no way possible for you to hear them in person? It's really tough to describe the noise difference of exhausts in words.

Ive sold a few titanium Vandemon underbelly slipons. They are great. You can go on youtube and click on this link. You will hear what the full undertail exhausts sound like at low mid and high rpms. The full underbelly and underbelly slipon sound pretty much the same The Vandemon slipon sells for $2221 shipped. Ill send you a PM

Campisi's last lottery bike on his YouTube channel was a V2 with a full akra exhaust and flash. He does dyno runs before and after install. You should be able to get some answers there I think.

I guess what I'm curious about is would there be much of a HP difference between the slip on vs full exhaust or is it mainly just weight savings?

The full stock OEM exhaust system with the stock exhaust cans weighs between 25lbs. Of that that total weight, the stock exhaust cans account for 15.5lbs of the total weight. The full titanium Vandemon underbelly exhaust weights 11.8lbs. The full titanium Vandemon undertail exhaust weights 9.8lbs. The Akra weighs 12.9 if Im not mistaken. Here are some weight numbers for different slipons along with the total final weight with the stock headers. The Arrow slipons weight 10.8lbs. That's a 4.7lb drop in weight bringing the weight of the Arrow cans and stock header to 20.3lbs. The Termignoni carbon Relevance slipons weight 6.6lbs (both combined weight 6.6lbs and they will fit a V2) That's 8.9lb weight drop bringing the weight of the Termi cans and stock headers to 16.1lbs. The Toce slipons weight 6.4lbs. That's a 9.1lb weight drop bringing the weight of the Toce cans and stock heads to 15.9lbs. The Vandemon titanium slipons weight 10lbs. Thats a 5.5lbs weight reduction bringing the total weight of the Vandemon cans and stock headers down to 19.5lbs If you get slipons to be perfectly honest you dont even need a tune or flash. Some guys get the rapid bike for better throttle response or different mapping Or they get the Upmap T800 or some other type of unit. Even Vcyclenut says there is no need for a ECU flash with slipons and he does ecu flashes. There is a difference in HP and torque when comparing a full system to slipons. I always like to bring someone other than myself to give answers so guys dont think Im making things up. Sometimes our numbers, explanations or reviews may be off a little from each other. And other times both our responses are the same. Thats why I like to bring @Mick1976 into these types of conversations.

I would say slipons would give you anywere between an extra 1-4hp and around an extra 1-4ft of tq. But dont forget the slipons are lighter than the stock cans so those numbers will actually be a somewhat higher even if not written on the manufacturers site. The reason is the weight drop. if you take into account the power to weight ratio. Then your HP and Tq numbers will be higher than the 1-4 HP and Tq increase because a when a bike is lighter it takes less force for the bike to start moving which is kind of like adding extra HP and tq. A full system would give you an increase of around 7-14hp and around an 6-10ft of tq. Dont forget that a full system weights less than the stock headers and slipon cans. So those power increase numbers will actually be higher due to the power to weight ratio. Oh and if aftermarket headers are titanium instead of stainless aftermarket headers theres another weight savings FM projects for example makes a full system where the exhaust cans are either stainless or titanium. But the headers are stainless

Here are some weight numbers for full exhaust systems. The Vandemon titanium full undertail exhaust system for the Ducati 899/959/1199/1299 and V2 weights a total of 9.9lbs (there is a typo on the Vandemon website. It shows that the V2 Undertail exhaust is 5.6 kilos or 12.34lbs. But it does weight 9.9 lbs because its the same exhaust as the ones for the 899/959/1199 and 1299) The Vandemon titanium full underbelly exhaust system for the Ducati 899/959/1199/1299 and V2 weights a total of 12.8lbs. The Akra full titanium underbelly exhaust weighs 14lbs. The Akra full titanium undertail exhaust weights 14lbs. The Termignoni

I personally think the Arrow is the least attractive looking exhaust for the 1199/1299 and V2. It just seams like something is missing. And that Arrow just put together some exhaust cans without carefully designing something that will flow. @NoHesi

In the video I posted of the Vandemon Undertail exhaust. dude_mungus didnt install the carbonfiber extended belly pan to cover up the lower part of exhaust pipes that are showing. I installed a carbon extended belly pan. Here are 3 pics of my bike showing the extended belly pan

Does anyone got a solution, for an slipon that doesnt make to much noise??

Here in Belgium/Netherlands, sounds controls on DB is just crazy... But I wanna ditch the weight of the original exhaust...

And If its possible, some numbers? How much DB does it make?

Thanks guys...

I had not thought of that dilemma. You may find it difficult to find an aftermarket pipe that is not loud while still reducing weight. If you do find one, it probably won't work for a Panigale; however, I could be wrong. :)

Hey mate, do u know which termi underbelly will fit a V2?

Ill shoot you a PM. Its a list of a few Termis. And letting you know in my opinion for you not to count the Vandemon slipons out of the picture. And since youre in Australia you can contact Mike from Vandemon and have him price one out for you. Since youre in Australia I would rather Mike try to sell you a Vandemon instead of going through me

I didn't think there was a Termi that fit the V2 without modification. Have they released something that works out of the box finally?

There is a set of termis that fit. I sold one forum member the headers for the termi v2 slipons. But now i cant find either. I reached out to him to give me the slipons part #. Im waiting to hear back from him

That would be great to know. I don't see anything listed on Termignoni's website, so I imagine there is nothing official or out of the box that is made for the V2 from them (or they suck at updating their website).

The Termignoni D155 slipon will fit the V2.

Interesting. I wonder if it needs modification or will cause plastic issues (i.e., melting). I love Termis, but I am not a fan of the burnt-hole-in-the-pipe look of the D155.
