2023 Ducati V4S - 2nd Gear Lull need aftermarket exhaust??

Ducati spent a lot of effort figuring out how to get 214 HP thru the converters. Most of the power gain is from the remapping. I can't even begin to explain the things they did to make the motors more docile. Multiple layers of restriction. Once you undo all of that they are some vicious bit of kit. Akro is about $1000 per HP. Buy a good tune, some wheels, sicom rotors... way better ways to spend that money IMHO.

It is indeed obscenely expensive, but you do retain your warranty. (could be a non-issue in US)

Send the can to me. I know a thing or 2 about those cans. Cats out, valve out, db-killer bypass. Screens over covers.

What i started seeing, they must be using new types of cats for the 23 model. They were not easy to remove before, but the latest ones are a nightmare. Special hole saw, water cooled cutting, torque supported drill. Still a pita taking forever.

Pm for more

THANK YOU for all the replies and contributions. I saw a lot of recommendations for the reflash. Does reflashing solve the 2nd gear performance lull or is there more needed to accompany the reflash and be rid of the lull without spending the hefty money on the exhaust?

The reflash should fix all of that. There also was a recall about the exhaust valve staying closed for the duration of 2nd gear on the 23 SF's? Did that recall get done? Or maybe it's not needed on the 23 Pani. These guys all like Duessen and from everything I've seen they're all happy. So he'll know more about the 23's than all of us.
