2023 fairing removal

Hey guys, currently in the process of tearing down the V4r I just picked up to install the full akra. Does anyone have a break down of the bolts/tabs for the fairings that need to be removed? This is my first Ducati and I want to make sure I am removing the fairings correctly as to not break any tabs.

The manual for the akra says to reference the “workshop manual” which I do not have access too.

The tank cover/surround, is on a popper at the side (near your knee).
Also, main side fairing, by the big vents, is also on a popper.
Bottom of nose, at front, slides forwards on a popper.
Everything else on screws. Take your time, fairly straightforward.
The black trim panels, inside fairing by forks, have slide clips. Not expensive to replace if you break though 🤣

Appreciate the help, I actually watched that time lapse multiple times prior to making this thread! I will give it a shot again tonight.

Take your time and gently shift the panels methodically to figure out how they release. If they resist, first confirm the source of the resistance and go from there. Have an Irish latte handy to calm the nerves and quell frustration

Please don't use gasket sealer on them either. I think you're also better off to remove the oil cooler, radiator and fan assembly as one big unit then trying to wrestle around them. I swapped to Engine Ice at the same time.

Appreciate the tip. I was actually able to removed the front manifolds without removing the radiator and oil cooler. I do need to put engine ice in my bike as well per track regulations so maybe I should have just made it easier on myself and removed both of them.

In terms of draining the coolant, anything in particular I need to know for draining it that may be different than other bikes?

So far I have the bike entirely disassembled (manifolds off) and will try to complete it tomorrow. Unfortunately other life obligations got in the way and this will be a 2 day job.

Another question for ya, for the charcoal canister removal, do I need to do anything with the purge valve being disconnected? When I start the bike will it throw an error code due to it being plugged with a screw/disconnected? Should I buy the smartmoto delete kit to stop the error code? My dealer told me not to start the bike until it has been reflashed by them for the new exhaust.

Thanks

Blank the pipe with a screw. You'll need the smartmoto dongle to stop any error codes.

Thank you! The instructions also have me running lambda sensor 3/4 down the subframe across the right hand side of the motorcycle and it almost seems like they’ll be resting on the motor. Safe to assume these wires are going to be heat resistant enough to not get melted? Or do I need to figure out a better way to route them?

After the reflash at the dealer I think it shouldn't throw a error code for the canister. Canister removal is part of the job assembling the exhaust, isn't it?

I've just needed to remove and reinstall the LH upper fairing on my 2023 panigale. I wish I read this before I got too far in as the little clips at the top snapped but on the fairing not on the little plastic bit that is only $10. Anyways I got it all back on and every screw is secure/flush however I've just noticed that the front nose fairing near the screen isn't 100% flush/aligned? There is a gap between the gold bit and the fairing but I can't recall if it was always like that or if I've messed something up? I didn't even remove the nose piece. Any suggestions for how to realign/fix this? Preferably without needing to take everything all off again :(

Gold bit? Do you mean the front fairing stay? Maybe post a picture so people can get a better idea of what is going on.

Highlighted the section there where you can see the gaps at the edge and a little under the screen.
