Guys I read some where that the 2023 V4R is lim for the first 600 miles? Anyone know if that’s true?

I don’t think that’s true. Mine sure doesn’t feel as if it’s restricted and if I recall correctly, the dealer said it was fully unlocked upon delivery but maybe someone else can give you a better answer.

The tach needle will have a yellow wake indicating to shift around 5500 RPM instead of whatever it is after the service for the V4R engine. Sort of a soft limit I suppose. The ECU does record time spend at different engine speeds, so if you're hammering the .... out of it the dealer will know.

Care to share more details?

Really hahahaha. I am strictly a road rider and no track. The roads i ride has Long straights with sweepers. Every gear will red line but in 6Th gear, this bike i limited (wont go past) to 15,500 rpms. Does ANYONE here even ride like this???????

watch out for fallen trees

So you're telling me you found a stretch of public road that you could hit 180+ mph on? If yes, then what I'd do is to get it to 6th and top it out. Then, immediately drop it into 5th and see how many revs you've got to play with that Ducati isn't giving you. Then, post your results (hopefully video) and write a stern letter to Ducati for all the .........

Bro we have roads where you can lock the throttle on this bike for miles. I have a camera on my speedometer so it’s proof. No disrespect but Obviously you don’t top out your bikes. Bottom line the bike is restricted to “15,500 in 6th gear”
As far as I know 2 other people with this bike is experiencing the same thing. I have begun to complain to corporate about this. I will update later with results.

The bike is not rpm or speed restricted. But in the US the power curve is limited so the bike will stop pulling.

Anyone can hold a throttle open in a straight line, but seriously guys here race Pinks Canyon and get their R's up to 16500 all the time you should try and hook up. Pretty sure your bike has a problem though, Id be taking it back to the dealer for a scan of the DVT ambient RS sensor which sounds out of range. @baggerman will have a detailed explanation.

Hahaha everyone has different riding styles bro so watch your fffnnn mouth. We do top end high speed riding and it’s not just straight line. We ride the bikes to the absolute limit which you know nothing about. I would like to see you do 190-195 mph in some dam canyon!!!! It takes BALL to do this ..... Yourself and no one here even knows the bike is restricted up top. Four people I know so far as having the same issue. I doubt if you even come out of fourth or fifth gear doing the .... you do. the bike revs all the way out in every gear except for six gear. that’s why I can’t get no straight answers because no one has the balls to ride this damn bike to its limits and top it out.
