Just purchased a 2025 V2 however it's still got the single sided swing arm like the 2024's. Does anyone know if exhaust systems from the 2024 will fit the new 2025? I'm assuming it should. Any insight greatly appreciated.

I don’t think the ‘25s actually start arriving until March/April, and it definitely won’t have the single sided swing arm. You need to go on the Ducati website and watch 24/25 V2 YouTube videos to understand exactly what you have purchased. Sounds like you actually got a 24 that they are just calling a 25.

If you got a single sided swingarm then you have a pre-2025 with the more powerful 959 engine. Congratulations!!

Some of the 'refinements' in the 2025 are actually carefully propagandized downgrades. You won't be able to tell the difference in the bikes except for the power drop in the 2025, unless you area really great rider.

I thought that as well however the VIN matches up as a 2025.

There are some 2025 Pani V2 old style motorcycles for sale in the USA at some dealers. I’ve seen them on their websites.

For all intents and purposes the 2025 v2 is the NEW model with DSSA, finger followers etc. The 2024 v2 model sold in 2025 is not a "2025" model, sure your earlier gen could be built in 2025 but its not what people will ever refer to as a 25 model. If you cant tell the difference, sorry but where did you go to school?

Exhaust systems for the 955's are very different to the 896

Here’s the dealer local to me with an old-style V2 for sale:

The VIN checks out as a 2025. Maybe Ducati was using up parts and released both models in 2025. I remember the first Toyota Tacoma came out in 1995 and a half.

I “think” the old 959/V2 will be produced alongside the new V2 for at least this and next year’s race seasons.

I was contemplating a MA compliant super sport build of a V2 and as I understood it Ducati is sticking with that platform for the class through 2026. How their VIN IDs the year and how they market the bike (maybe competitive use only?) I have no clue about.

In the USA model year is what the VIN says it is. 10th digit of the 17 digit VIN. Not when it's built or when its registered. May not be the same in other parts of the world.

There is no doubt Ducati will keep producing the older model for a pre determined time- probably until major inventory items are used up. They can technically be called a 2025 production bike but they are not the 2025 model that people expect and while I dont think the dealer is being misleading they are pushing the boundaries if they suggest its the latest model when clearly its the last of the old model.

Well, they are ....... lying ass holes. Might as well call a spade a spade. Anytime you do not disclose information that could sway the decision to purchase a product, that is fraud. Plain and simple. The entire motorcycling world knows what new 2025 Ducati V2 Pani is, and that ain’t it.

I was trying to be diplomatic, but yeah if they sold the old model as the latest 25 version they are devious cvnts

I don't understand the histronics. What's to disclose? There's a 25MY Panigale V2 955 and a 25MY Panigale V2 896. What's the problem? They are very obviously two different bikes. All the Panigale V2 955 FE Superquadros are 25MY as far as I can tell. BTW there is also a 25MY V2 Streetfighter and a 25MY V2 Streetfighter 896.

No histrionics, but the current V2 is not really a 25 model year is it, since the 955 is discontinued this year and the 896 is the 2025 model in most people's minds. So if some noob walks into the dealership wanting the latest 2025 model with all the newest tech and gets sold a pig with lipstick, that would be morally wrong.
