Congrats on your recognition Gunny, it's more than well deserved. You did a great job on your Tri, it's a beautiful bike. Even the gloss CF ;)

Did not know any of this about Gunny. Guessed a military back ground from his handle obviously but not the rest.

So big, big, big ....... respect to you Gunny, really sorry to here of your trauma, but delighted to see you dealing with it so well. Fair ..... to you man and wish you all the very best in your continuing recovery and hope life has finished handing you the ...... end of the stick.

One of life's real heros ;) good luck to you, you deserve some. And also to your family.

Can't even imagine what I'd have done in your position, really glad you made it home.

Sorry if the above sounds a bit corny/cheesy

Just have a lot of respect for guys in the military everywhere and anywhere, especially those that 'walk the walk', and make the sacrifices to try make the world a safer place.

Don't always agree with some of the politics or alleged motives involved, but always have great time for those who just get on with their jobs, sometimes regardless of their own opinions.

The rights or wrongs fade to insignificance when you see what they have to go through.......

Sorry not forgetting the ladies also.

Gunny,

They must have hired a very expensive pro photographer since you actually look good in the pictures?:cool::D;)

:D Wouldn't blame the chap if he didn't smile for the rest of his life. Still helps the guys out here and more besides. I guess some of us are just made of sterner stuff than others. ;)

Based on the exchange of a couple of PM's. .... me sideways, when they say "give something back to the community" I don't think they meant everything, jesus the guy doesn't do things a halves. Brave man is all I can say. There's a real selfless pattern there for damn sure.

PS just reading this back and want to add. I don't want anyone to think he was patting himself on the back, far from it, just telling it like it is ;)

Gunny,

Reading your story for the first time, it is peace-inspiring. All the talks here about BMW vs. Ducati, monetary justifications for an SL, screwing with trolls, which exhaust sounds better, etc. just seems miniscule and irrelevant.

Life experiences can make or break a man. Difference is whether the man stands back up or not. You were faced with the ultimate challenges, yet you still stood back up. You are an inspiration and a role model to many. Despite your physical, emotional, and mental challenges you have to face each day, you have attained more success as a human being than most could imagine.

Being a Canadian, thank you for your services not to USA, but to humanity.

Sincerely,

Your friend up north.
