Aftermarket Parts. How much have you spent and on what?

Not sure what you mean? Only modifications made at a factory would allow a bike to get registered for street use? I have purchased some great parts for my Ducati from Europe, I cannot conceive the EU would shut down the after market parts economy!!!

I spend too damn much on every damn bike! Good thing my finance minister doesn't peruse this forum!

1) Rapidbike Race Module to improve throttle issues - best upgrade so far $1000 CDN
2) MWR (sp?) filter - $180 CDN
3) Rizoma Veloce L Mirrors - $330 CDN the original mirrors were too buzzy
4) TWM "shorty" Levers - $300 CDN - these are awesome
5) Throttlemeister lock - $200 CDN - I do LONG distance runs and this certainly helps
6) Rizoma front pegs with adapters - $130 CDN - OEM were too slippery
7) NRC Tail Tidy - $240 CDN
8) SWMoto Panniers - $400 CDN - great for travelling long distance multiple days
9) SWMoto Tank Bag with Quick Connect Ring - $300 CDN great for day trips

Bike is setup for long distance touring.....

You may well say I've got more money than sense but I've stuck with Ducati Corse aftermarket parts for billet and carbon stuff along with the Akrapovič full titanium system. Must admit I find the price of the rear sets really hard to justify though.

The (most would say false) logic to is keep it "Ducati".

It is a bit harder identifying and obtaining specialist goodies from "down under" too. Especially when you're not in the industry.

I used to be the Bling King on my Road bikes and dirt bikes found out the hard way it was money wasted . These days I spend what is needed to make a good race bike .
Some people like rocking up on a modded bike makes them feel good and at the end of the day that's can't be argued with .

My view is more in line with wilkson now. I spent $8k on bling and other stuff for my Tricolore but now I'm not seeing the value in it as my view has changed based on my own taste and what I'm looking to get out of the bikes and money spent.

It really all depends on what you want and what you're willing to spend. Are you happy with the bike as is? Do you want a modded or custom built bike with your own personal touch for cruising around to be different from the other guys? Or do you want a bike that is built purely for purpose and functionality for track and racing? I've moved over to the track/racing side for now but it also depends on the bike and your plans for it to determine what direction to spend your money on or none at all.

To each there own and just do with your bike what makes you happy with what you ride. There is no right or wrong answer to what you do with your bike and how you spend your money.

For me it is mainly cosmetic changes, there were a few things that didn't really appeal so I changed them to what I like. The photo on the left is the day I picked it up from the shop and the one on the right is how it sits today, just my tastes, not for everyone I guess.

my mods

I like mods, 10yrs ago i wend for a bikers event with a brand new GSXR and could not recognize my bike since 7 of here identical sisters parked just next to mine
my last GSXR had more then $6k in mods.

BTW Im the second person here purchasing stuff without the bike :D
Already bought general mods (DP, Rizoma, etc.) & I have a $12K list (without expensive stuff like rims/suspensions/..).
It might grow, all depends on what ill buy, my mind is really into the electronic suspension and road use so 100% S (but still hopping for an Anni, im actually searching worldwide :().
If ill end up with a stock red it wont stay like that for long...

Quick question #1, did someone tried to mount the Rizoma Spy-Arm mirrors with the ProGuard ?? is that even possible ?

Quick question #2, if i really want the sexy sexy Ohlins FGR300 forks (with the gas cartridge on an S), do I need to give up on the electronics ?

Contact Seattle Ducati. I believe they have more Anniversario's still available. Good luck.

ROFLMFAO on this one right there Endo!!!!

I truly wouldn't even know where to begin with this one my man! ;)

One day I really should compile all my receipts and emails to tally up what Ive put into my Tricolore (Especially since I am seeking to put it into the hands of a true Mod Lover! lol

Good thread for sure bro- Subscribed and love seeing what you all have done. !!

You don't want the 300s on a street bike. If you have to have them, Ohlins can do a seal mod on them which will reduce the maintenance however they do need to be serviced differently than an OEM or RT fork. They obviously need a different triple and no they are not electronic however I'm sure a competent engineer with the necessary resources could figure out how to convert a set. There is a guy out there who had a custom set of fork bottoms made with bogus gas tubes for the "look" they were pretty convincing if you did not know what to look for.

I really don't want to think about it but here's a few:

-Rabidbike Race module
-Rabidbike You Tune
-Wide band o2 sensors (from Rapidbike)
-Dean Adams exhaust
-Full Akrapovic exhaust (we're playing with both)
-520 light weight quick change kit (41t sprocket at the moment)
-Ducabike clear clutch cover
-NRC fender eliminator kit
-Oberon clutch slave cylinder (must have on these bikes)
-DP windscreen
-Lightech rearsets (GP shift)
-Carbon Fiber rear hugger
-DP Carbon fiber shock cover
-Custom mount for You Tune and GoPro
-Sprint air filter
-Various titanium bits
-DP mirror bock offs

I know I'm forgetting a few things but this about sums it up. I couldn't give you a dollar amount.

Thats exactly what I need. Im relocating the switch box to a Motec style plate over the dash so it frees up the key guard mount. Did you make that ?

I wish I could take credit. Dean Adam's did the work when he built the exhaust. I can send you additional pics or deminsions if needed.
