Regarding the Termi's Vs Akropovic slip ons?

I read that the 1299 pipes have a diameter of 60mm and the 1199 is 57mm Will the same exhaust that fits the 1199 fit the 1299? How about just the Akro slip-ons? or last years Termi slip- ons?

Here's street/track/dyno feedback on the Panigale 1199 & 1199R with Pro AMA rider on the following upgrade exhaust from OEM:

*2012 Panigale 1199 w/Termignoni Racing EVO (96480141A) w/custom SSTK ecu
*2013 Panigale 1199R w/Akra EVO (S-D9SO4-T) w/custom SSTK ecu

Both sounds about the same as OEM but louder acceptable to street. Made power in top end, but power dip at 6000rpm still there even if we did custom SSTK remap done to improve on flatspot.

*2012 Panigale 1199 w/Zard Full Penta Back 63.5mm (ZD1199STKR-1) w/custom SSTK ecu.

This exhaust made the bike sound proper mean track Ducati + eliminated any power flat spot & added best power band. The only downside it's mounting the exhaust under the tail. But, it's the best bang for the buck in power.

Will be trying the Zard Full Ti version for 2014 Panigale 1199R soon. Along some custom engine parts.

Hope this info helps out.

Thanks but what I really want to know is will the exhaust that fit the 1199 also fit the 1299? I read that there is a larger (60mm) pipe on the 1299 I just did not know if it is the same at the collector end or not.. in other words does the slip ons for the 1199 fit the 1299 also?

Thanks. I have never heard of them. Not sure I like the under tail mount.

There are couple threats posted and it looks like the exhaust will swap over.

The full 1199 akra evo will fit the 1299. The slipons will not.

I'm not really sure where to post this on the form so here goes.

I really want to put a exhaust on my new 1299. The default everyone goes with is the Akra exhaust. However from what I can tell the sound doesn't improve drastically although the power does improve a bit. I know the build quality is second to none but I was wondering about a few others that might exist. Right now I am wondering about termi, Austin or compitition werkes. I don't really want to start a religious war over the exhaust. However, I'm wondering if any of you have experiences?

Also, my dealer informed me that if I installed anything else but the Akra had them do it it would void my warranty. I've been a long time Harley Davidson owner and they have never been that strict. Is anybody know if this would be the case?

Thanks for the help and please feel free to move this to the appropriate form if this is not it.

It will not void your warranty. I immediately suggest you find a new and honest dealer.

The Akra imo has the best sound, least weight and its full titanium and cf.. Its sex hanging from your bike. Although the Termi's are not bad at all by any means. Austin Racing?? Just erase that from your vocabulary. I'll try to find the thread for you. Comp werkes.. Umm no clue.

i agree find another dealer. almost nothing you do with respect to add ons or changing oil brands will void your warranty. for your warranty to be voided they have to prove whatever you did was the reason something happened. so if you put on the akra exhaust and the engine blew up they would have to prove that the exhaust blew up the engine. now if you put on the exhaust and it set a fairing on fire thats a different story.

same thing with oil. if you use motul and the book suggest shell you didnt void the warranty. if your engine failed they would have to prove the motul oil caused the engine failure. highly unlikely.

i suggest a new dealer and read up on your rights as a consumer. no company can tell you what brand of oil or what exhaust you HAVE to use. just doesnt work that way.

i have full termi and white pani had the full akra. there is 100% a sound difference. if you dont think so you better get your hearing checked. the akra is louder and deeper than the termis. the akra looks so much better too. hard to justify the price but its the nicest looking and nicest sounding.

comp werks is very ugly and austin well .....

It's not often people will experiment with expensive parts that aren't well known. For someone to be a guinea pig usually means they're either sponsored or they wipe their ..... with big face benny's after droppin friends off in the pool.

Ive been in your same position, in the end I will get the akra system
