Akrapovic evo exhaust and up-map

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

Where do I find this termi up-map? I searched google and ebay and haven't found it to purchase

by dongle I mean this thumb drive

I have an unused racing up map that came with my end cans ,I phuchased a manifold kit and used the up map that came with the manifold

Ducati does not sell the up-map keys separately from the Termi exhaust systems. About the only way to get one is to find one that has been split out from an exhaust kit and not used due to the bike having an aftermarket fueling module or ECU flash on it. I've seen some for sale on the forum and eBay in the past.

We should get someone with the know how, and there has to be a way to revert the key back too its stock status by imitating the procedure.

It cant be that difficult.

The maps are already on our ECU, it should be a free switch.

I agree with gunny contact Dave at redline and get the rexxer tuning I had them do mine when I purchased bike great guys to deal with.Im going down next week to have lightened flywheel installed...

I used the tuneboy software and tuned it myself on our in house dyno.

The dealer just installed the Akrapovic evo exhaust on my bike, however I have some questions to wise people on this forum. In the stock panigale exhaust there is a butterfly valve which is not present on the akrapovic exhaust, disconnecting this valve shows an error on the dash. What is the method to get rid of this error? I thought the dealer will load the termignoni map to the ecu however the only way to do this seems to be by using the up-map stick which seems to not be available to purchase alone - without the termi exhaust. Any comments on that? or maybe I am mistaken?

and a pic for you attached:)

Would be good to get to the bottom of this.

I recall that people who disconnected the flapper servo with the standard exhaust, also got error codes.

This is as you would expect, since the ECU even knows when the horn is disconnected !!!

I thought it was something in the Termi supplied wiring terminator plug, as it looked like more than a dust cover when I fitted my one.

I finally got the exhaust installed on the stock map, I drove today for about 100km but I have this strange feeling that some power is lost in the bike, especially at the higher revs, Can any other owners chime in? Is this possible that I am mistaken, because the power curve is smoother and so it might feel slower as there is no sudden power surge at the higher revs? I am not getting any errors, The butterfly valve is connected to the ecu connector but obviously it is not sitting in the exhaust, they installed it somewhere under the fairings to get rid of the error

Ps. The sound is sweet :)

It just changed in the last week. We were selling them at the same price as Motomummy, but I can't do that any more because the price went up.

I think they have a different supplier. They told me they are the main/largest Akro NA supplier, do co-events with Akro all the time.

Well, no real point in this debate, it is what it is. But just for posterity's sake, there are only 2 suppliers in north america, Parts Unlimited and Akrapovic USA. Akrapovic sells direct only to select dealers, but the pricing is the same as it is through Parts Unlimited. We're set up both ways as well, but normally get them through Parts Unlimited because it's easier.

I know you and trust you, I just hope the price stays low by the time I can justify them :)

Like I said....I had zero error codes.

It's kind of funny with Akra, they're really like the Apple of the exhaust world. They have the undisputed premium product, consumers want it and are willing to pay big bucks for it, and the huge vast majority of the profit is all going to Akra, the dealers are making next to nothing on it.

Why is the butterfly valve connected in the first place? Something does not sound right. I installed it myself and removed the servo motor and valve. It isn't needed for the akra system and should not be throwing any codes at all. If it's not a big deal to you, then live with it. If it was me, I'd go back n tell them to learn how to install the exhaust and follow some simple instructions.
