Akrapovic Exhaust..

I know, I know.. lol. I blame the bike. It sounds so good stock that it makes it a tough call whether or not you even need an exhaust.

Agreed. I have paid for an exhaust for almost every bike I have ever owned to make it sound/run better - this one already sounds/runs better than any of them!

Same here. This is the only bike I have ever owned that I have not put an exhaust on. Dang..now I am second guessing the termis again. lol

I'm glad to see my thoughts are similar to others here. These statements essentially replicate what I stated in another thread. The stock exhaust note is absolutely fantastic, particularly at low to mid revs. With previous Ducati superbikes, upgrading the exuast to achieve that true, unconfined Ducati sound was a given; however, with the Panigale, the stock exhaust sounds just as good as most aftermarket systems. Every time I've started up the bike for friends/family, they are in disbelief that the bike is sold stock sounding like that.

+1 - totally agree. This is the one Ducati that you don't have to add termis to make it sound like it should.

Stock exhaust doesn't age well though.... Termis wipe clean really easily...

All performance aside. I like the sound of the aftermarket exhaust. I heard full termis the other day. And wow!! I can only image how akra sounds in real life. The stock exhaust while better sounding than previous models... Still has a metallic sounding rattle instead of a throatier growl. The later being worth $3500

I will be getting one. Passing on my suspension mod & a bachelor party in Puerto Rico but still... Have you heard the Akra?

The akra sounds incredible I had mine on a on a track day recently with a number of 1199's running full termi systems and a lot of people stopped by to check out the akras as they just sounded so good, a lot deeper growl if that makes sense

I had a number of people check my bike out over the weekend as they had not 'heard anything like it' before, and the termi's are pretty standard fare around here.

Damn if you guys are so concerned with sound, I don't see how that could be worth $3,500+, but maybe I'm just a pauper.

If sound is the biggest concern, send your OEM exhaust to our moderator Phl, the videos I've seen of his OEM Exhaust Mod sound louder and deeper than either the Termi slips or Termi full system, and at least on par bass-wise with the Akra. And best of all it cost about 15% of the Akra, haha!

I've got the Termi slips and considered sending my OEM exhaust to Phl for modding and then having it Jet-Hot coated. That would look and sound great, IMO.

while that does sound rad, i'm a sucker for ridiculous titanium components.

I'm not justifying my purchase. I wanted it, end of story :)
