FUSAR Technologies - Ride Smart?

I am personally not a fan of these types of helmets, no good if you have a passenger on board !!!

I think the way ahead is to make the electronics modular and thus applicable to a wide range of existing helmets.

i offered them to beta test it in racing :D

These projects are nice in theory but in real life i think they are more of a show off of how cool you are, i mean there is no way i can rely on the rear view camera, the surviving instinct will always act faster than this ( not so reliable ) technology, and what about Siri's sister here !!! what happened to all the fun of finding your own way and experiencing the road ??! the video recording feature is nice though.

Have you guys seen Nuviz? Ride:HUD Features-THE FIRST HEAD-UP DISPLAY FOR YOUR MOTORCYCLE HELMET

It's a HUD module that adapts to your existing helmet. I don't know Skully or any of these other "new" people, but they sure haven't been making motorcycle helmets for very long or ever before. Plus, I find them flat ugly and who knows if it fits my head?

Most motorcycle riders are ultra-loyal to their helmet brands, and it only makes sense to me to make HUD technology adaptable to the installed base of helmets. These guys were at the AIMExpo and I was so engrossed in the demo that I forgot to take pictures. They don't have the rear-view camera (yet) and I talked to the co-founder and CEO about that strongly. Anyway, they supposedly are 6-8 months away from launching the product and it is expected to retail for around $650. I was impressed enough with the demo to keep this on the radar and potentially add to my AGV Corsa, AGV Horizon, Bell Star, Shark Race-R Pro and Scorpion EXO-R2000.

Thanks for sharing! That looks very cool, I agree 100% that this is THE way to implement the technology, not come up with a whole new helmet. You will never pry the Arai off my head, but you very well might see me strap on a HUD to it if it can be done safely without compromising the integrity of the helmet.
