Any experience with eBay rims?

i'd run as far as i can. wouldn't even touch them with a stick.

and for $350 they're not even cheap.
you should be able to find a set or original base rims for $700 (forums / ebay/ facebook marketplace) and then add another $150 in shipping from the US.
at least then you know that they won't fail on you or weigh a ton.

It’s been my experience that rear rims are plentiful and cheap ($150ish). The front rim is hard to find at a decent price.

Those Arashi wheels should be 5000 each
They are lighter than carbon
Stronger than titanium
And as true as Richard Nixon

Prolly can’t even get the bearings seals and spacer from Ducati for 350 : )

If they spin true run em if not send em back?

Yeah plenty of rears around got one , just can't find a front I really should just be patient and keep hunting for a real one .
Thanks for setting me straight ...................what was I thinking ...............FOOL !

Any other Ducati models have same dimension front rim that I can also search , I know it is wider than the 1098/1198 .

Crazy enough to race in rain but would not run a rim that spins true cuz not Italian ok checks out

See if 415Rider in classifieds with the V4 take offs will separate em?

Okay enough already ..............quietly backing out of the room .o_O

After I switched from a 1098 to an 1199, I had several sets of 1098 wheels, in which the fronts did not fit, work due to the fork spacing. I bought the spacer kit from Corse Dynamics and a the wheel speed sensor off of eBay. The rear is a one for one fit, the front just needed the spacer and sensor ring. The "spaced" wheels work very good and the discs run very true with the machined spacers.

I share this as you might find a front from a 1098 at a decent price or availability.

I got a set of Marchesini MR10's magnesium wheels for a Panigale off Ebay couple years ago mint condition for $1500 best deal I ever got!!!!

DesmoAndrew , got a link to that spacer kit ? Im confused as the discs are set wider on 1199 ? Yes ?

Panigale disc has 10mm offset

A lot of the older bikes had 5mm

Wonder if you still need the disc spacer if you are using 10mm offset disc?

Forged is good enough for what I am doing

Many thank you’s to a certain member here for helping me to understand that

Prolly over 3000 thank you’s lol : )

There is a set of forged Marchesini Magnesium wheels up for sale on ebay right now for $800+$100shipping. They are 16.5 wheels so they would mostlikely be track only wheels but it's still a fantastic deal. (I have no attachment to this sale in any way. Just sharing what looks like a fantastic deal)Screenshot_20210114-113102_eBay_resize_90.jpg

I bought a set of rims last year used for rain racing, think i paid 800-850
