Any experience with MV Agusta?

I had a 2006 Brutale 910S. I really liked the bike but hated the lack of dealer support. Like others have mentioned, the issues with the company keep me from looking that way again. Its too bad, because it is an awesome looking and riding bike.

I think they make the most beautiful bikes. My personal favorite:

I think I've commented before on this site about my Dragster. it's a 2016 RR. By far my favorite bike to ride. I just love everything about it and haven't had any issues.

I contemplated selling it a month ago and picking up the new RC version and had a buyer at my price in 2 days, but spoke to my dealer and it sounds like they don't have any visibility on when the RC will arrive. They didn't get any bikes delivered in 2016 from MV and the one I bought from them was the only 2016 model they saw (which arrived in late 2015).

I couldn't imagine my garage without a Dragster so pulled the listing and am holding onto this until I actually see my RC in the showroom.

They are fantastic bikes and look better than anything on the road IMO.

I have always loved the MV's, especially the F4 and then the F3 800. Last summer I placed a $2000 deposit to get one of the RC 800's up here in Canada, but after I got my Panigale a month after that I wasn't sure about going through with the RC. Turns out they never delivered them anyway so I converted my deposit into a racing suit and gear.
Here in Vancouver BC we have no dealer network for MV to speak of. Just a mechanic here and there who took some tutorials. That was my primary reason for going ahead with the Panigale vs the F41000RR. That and the poor ratings on the F4 compared to the other italians.

So here's where I'm at......

I love the bike, if I can actually get one, I probably will. There are a few 'dealers' so to speak near me, so if anything beyond my technical remit happens I do have somewhere to go.

One of these places is a friend of a friend who do a lot of different bikes, cuctoms etc. and have a really good reputation and 1 ½ hours away isn't a killer. I will probably source the bike from them rather than the local 'shed on an idustrial estate' but nice to have them there if needed.

Bottom line: If MV go under I'll still have a bike I can use and get serviced fairly locally. The re-sale price will either go up in value because no one can get one, or crash because no one wants them! At £13k (GBP) on the road, if I keep it a few years to find I can't sell it that's not a huge upset....

I ride with 2 people who have MV's One has 800 burtale, the other a sexy as hell F4rr.

Burtale likes to random shut down and not start again (even when riding)
F4 had to wait 4 months for a part and he had to arrange a tech to fly into town to clear a fault code.

Local dealership closed down so closest support is like 3000kms away.

But they still love their bikes, and the draw alot of attention on rides (more so than the Pani's)
Ive always wanted one, and nearly brought a F4 untill I found out dealership was closing down.
its luck of the draw.......
