Good work guys, and to AR as well. I love forums, 17 pages of hate then someone posts results that pretty much back what AR had claimed and..........crickets.

There should be "crickets", they asked for non-vendor substantiation and got it. You need to look up the defintion of hate, and you your statement is right there, not theirs. Talk to the product, NOT the posters.

Snark away then. Just be cautious of labeling legitimate questions/concerns hate.

Indeed... there was no hating from the forum ... Legitimate concerns/questions etc.... Hating only came from one direction...
If such questions are considered anything but legitimate then whats the point of us all being here???

I don't think that's an accurate assessment and I really don't think you do either. Nevertheless, on to the results.

Nothing wrong with a bit of snarkyness. Besides that is the reality of why their exhaust will outperform, so was not totally devoid of information.

Now Now the AR has great performance claims while tuning the A/F ratio around 190ish HP but let's keep it at that and not say it will out perform. I've seen the Termi full system with higher numbers with custom maps that optimizes the A/F ratios also.

Oh I really do..... There was concern about the honesty of AR and their numbers... no doubt... and I think these concerns still exist based on the fact that it appears to achieve real demonstrable gains you need a fuel controller/Ecu re-programmer and much dyno time/adjustments...

It really was about AR's sniping at Termi and saying/inferring their system was plug'n'play.... This claim appears disingenuous at best ... From my standpoint there was no hating.... But if I bought a $4000+ pig in a poke and it didn't do what was claimed then I would be less than impressed...

There were quite a few posters that were saying things along the lines of:

"Oh great another manufacturer who's results will never be replicated in the real world."

"What is their return policy, seems like a lot of money for misrepresentation."

This one directly from ttkarp on page 3:
"Hopefully no one is surprised that a manufacturers claims are not exactly what is seen in reality? This would mean the AR's figures are exactly like every other product...enhanced for marketing purposes. Shocking."

I think that was a bit snarky too, and sounds like a bit of hate to me.

I am really not trying to be a .... but I just feel a bit bad for AR they put tons of time into developing this product and it has been met with lot of suspicion along the way. They did make some big claims and perhaps that causes us as human beings to be skeptical. But they have a great track record on previous products, they did not lie about power claims with their previous systems for the RSV4 or other bikes, so why start now? I just get a kick out of forum mentality (to which I am not immune), it is very easy to jump on the band wagon via keyboard. I know that most of the posts in this thread were not filled with hate but I just had to laugh when someone substantiated AR's claim and chose to openly laugh.

I would love to see WMCDONAL tune a termi slip on as well as a termi full system with tuneboy and compare the resultant power and torque curves with the ones from tuning the AR system.

I guess it will be different but would like to see how much different, more in terms of curve shape and mid range.

I had no doubt that AR system would perform and the looks and sound is awesome. when I first saw it had no silencers and it was a 2 into one it put all doubts aside but I also saw my very own full Termi do 195 HP with a little moore room for improvement. The trade off was this bike will drink gas like crazy. The smoothness throughout the power band was awesome and the map would be a great map for the tracks but I do a lot of canyon runs with no gas station in between my route I barely make it to the gas station on my route with the Ducati map (new or old). If you look at my dyno chart you can see my bike runs lean with a lot of room for improvement with the A/F ratio.

Full system and Termi map?? Or did you do some other tuning??

For those who have demanded to know why AR thinks their exhaust will out perform the factory and Termi systems I am going to share Rich's secret to the exhaust, this may shock and amaze you... slightly larger piping, a better merge collector, no baffled section, no perforated piping, larger radii on the bends. I don't know why there is speculation as to this making more power...

:D I had a good chuckle to myself. [chuckle=good natured snigger]

Glad to see you are paying attention!

Um...ok. I hate every manufacturer then. Wtf

Wow I thought PC V wasn't an option - what sort of mods?

A buddy of mine is owner of the tuning shop and he modified a harness for the PCV. you can't buy one right now but they are about to release one I believe next month.

Funny you posted that. I interpreted it the same way as well. Also had a good chuckle.
There has been no history of falsified information from AR, just good product.
Regardless, I'm sure in a weeks time, WAfatboy will be extremely pleased.

Exactly Don't feel bad for AR, they're able to stand up for themselves. Remember I've shelled out the cash and have the system so I am a fan of the product.

Really their claim over the Termis is still to be tested. There was also a fair bit of derision around the Tuneboy product from them, but now its got the 190hp out of their pipe its not too shabby ;)

So if you want to dish it out you gotta take it, and not get heated.

I'm looking forward to the Tuneboy map from Copiya's bike being used as the starting point for mine - it'll be mint!
