Its anybody's game (except rossi) what will we see here. can the yamaha of maverick get back to winning form? will marquez figure out this new tire and not crash 5 times before the race? will it be hot enough for danny? will dovi win 3 in a row? can JLO podium. all questions will be answered in about a week.

Rossi still has a chance.

but having said that Marquez can figure something out. he didnt crash during the race unlike the practice and warm ups.

JLo seem to figure something out but too soon to say that. He needs constancy.

Dovi is hot right now with 2 wins and hopefully he can continue. Continual podiums with few more wins, he can have a chance for championship and Vinales blows it.

But I dont think Vinales will blow it. I think he will come back and have a good chance to win a championship this year.

If Dovi can keep up the consistency that will be awesome for him and the Ducati team, but..... Vinales has been doing damage control with tires and his points lead lately. At some point we're going to see him drop the hammer and start to build a points gap. The only issue I see is that you're going to see Marquez, Pesrosa, Rossi and everyone else with a shot of the title do the same. Lets call it what it is, it still anyone's game at this point. Zarco could be in the hunt for a win, Cal Crashlots can have a moment of brilliance, Iaonne could also go full Maniac and pull one out. Add some rain and crap weather and all the best of the rest guys are in it.

rossi has the same chance of winning this year as winning 2010 to present. not going to happen as its already over for him. even with all the funny play from dorna to effect the standings wont work. he is washed up has been and the stats prove it.
i would even give him the title if he would just go away already this is getting old.
only a dribbling rossi drone can think he has a shot at winning the title. if you have watched any form of moto gp racing since 2010 objectively you will know rossi has no shot.

when you average 1 race win a year but are 28 points back you cant make up the difference. thats not me talking thats mathematics.

Alright man, point proven. We all know you're not a Rossi fan, no one cares. Just because you can still bait a few people into having that argument for the hell of it is just great for you. Lets have a thread where we scarily takk about the racing and it just how much you hate Rossi.

I think Assen is going to be an interesting race tires aside, Maverick needs to get out of damage control in his points and needs to make a statement. As it stands it's anyone's game and the sharks are starting to circle. Honestly I'd love to see Dovi win again, see a tempo before the summer break.

The factory Yamaha boys liked the new frame in the post race test. Never rule anyone out

I don't think anyone can be ruled out. We're in a unique spot, it's anyone's game. Maverick has the most to lose but still. Anyone can make a run at it, .... it Dovi 2017

see who started this thread kevin ? me if you don't like it don't participate its so simple. all you guys with ban this don't talk that do you know how to ignore someone. if its a racing thread i will bring up rossi every time of what an old washed up had been he is. i will bring up stats prove my stats wrong if you can.

the guy in bold has no shot at the title. its over the fat .... is singing its the end of a career face it. you can't win a title when the avg title winner has 5 wins and you can only do 1 a year

i would never rule out maverick guy is a supreme talent and is leading in points even though its still early. so yes yamaha has a shot at the title.

.... man, tone it down. All I was saying is we can talk about racing all day long and that's cool. You spewing your hate speech and all that .... is old to me and plain boring. So I don't give a .... if you go on with starting this thread, or what whatever. Good for you, I'll talk motogp all day long man, it's cool. But don't come at me for not caring that you hate Rossi, it's old, I'm over it.

At the end of the day we all have our opinions and I'll respect yours. Lets just talk about the racing, get over the stupid ..... Zarco is going to take Rossi's spot at the end of his contract anyway so who cares, let him have his farewell tour and run at a title, it's adds dynamic. Better than a runaway title, lets just enjoy the sport and ride the bikes we have as it should be.

tone it down ? hate speech oh my lord hahahaha. are you hysterical and remotely serious (safety pin anyone)? i am talking about racing. is rossi a racer? did someone say he has a shot at winning? yes to both so i am talking about racing. i am saying he has absolutely 0% chance of winning and if anyone says he does i will post the facts every single time on every single thread and you can try and dispute them but its impossible as the numbers dont lie
so kevin my buddy dispute this FACT. Rossi has averaged 1 (its actually like 1.6 but you cant have .6 of a win so i rounded down) race win a year since 2010. for anyone that cant figure it out go back to 2010 take all his wins then do it for 2011 through now. then divide by the years. tell me what you get.

ps zarco should have the shot NOW. why waste this year and next. again 0 chance of winning even though dorna is trying their hardest to effect things. im surprised pertuci didnt have to go to dorna's trailer for passing rossi.

pps i am loving these seasons except for 2014 where marquez was insane and there was no competition. 2010 saw jlo have an amazing season. 2011 stoner dominates. 2012 jlo again. 2013 marquez in his rookie season 2014 marquez dominates. 2015 jlo again with one of the best seasons ever guy dominated every aspect of the season. points didnt show it because of a bad start. 2016 marquez again with maturity. 2017 who knows maybe maverick maybe dovi finally maybe dani? or will marquez come back and shine. all of that is possible
what isnt possible are these guys winning Rossi Cal zarco foldger abraham lowes smith either espargaro redding pertuci barber etc etc.

Maybe, maybe not. The Michelins have proven a lot more susceptible to conditions to get them to be fast than the Bridgestones ever were. They have a narrow window. Does Vinales have the experience to find that window and take advantage of it consistently? Remember last year the factory Yamahas went I think 9 races without a win? The Yamaha has been the best bike on the grid for a while now, but it doesn't seem to be the most adaptable.

Vinales seemed to be pretty mystified why he wasn't fast last weekend. That doesn't bode well.

I think Vinales has some unbelievable pressure. Not just from himself but from Yamaha and fans alike. That has got to be tough. He's one hell of a talent lets see how the next few races pan out. Rossi on the other hand is finding that age and wisdom may not be enough to overcome the young guns of Vinales, Marquez, Zarco and Folger. He truly is going to need to win a few races to place him in the shot of a title. Marquez.. whats there to say. He's needs a front tire that allows him to be Marquez. If Michelin can come close to what Bridgestone was providing LOOK OUT! Padrosa stay healthy and win the title man! Dovi the Dark horse for the title. Unless Ducati figures out its mid corner issues quick, I just dont see him getting it this year. My predictions for Assen are....

Dovi
Marquez
Rossi
Zarco
Padrosa

2 things

1. they should have never let the 70 tire into the race almost mid season without the other option still being on the table. there were no safety concerns with the 060 front. if they were going to allow the 70 they should have KEPT the 060 as that was the original tire voted on. want to add conspiracy sure we can do that. 1 yamaha boy destroying the comp while the other one crys to daddy i mean dorna. same thing happened last year with jorge, the soft tire that jorge was so fast on magically disappeared.

we all know how and why this started. 07 season a dominant stoner upset the apple cart. couldnt have rossi not winning so everyone went spec except for rossi (yes danny got it but the season was already over). rossi went spec in 09. coincedently rossi has only won 1 world title when he didnt have a clear tire advantage.

2. do you guys think its time to open up the tire game to many. let the riders choose dunlop is already there add the bridgestone and keep the michilin let the riders test which ones they like each week. then pick.
i know this wont work because of sponsors and money but this is ridiculous already.

according to vinales there wasnt enough grip coming out of the corners and the tire would just spin. i am guessing it something like marquez was saying how the honda last year had exceleration problems (remember jorge past him at the line)
these michilins are even affecting the 2016 m1 (zarco bike) and i believe foldger (is on a 15 pretty incredible).
marquez has the new honda engine but is basically riding a 14 frame. no idea what the rest of the honda boys are on.

the break is coming up soon. i dont know what i will do for a month. i guess lots of posts coming. :D

I just want to know or hear, what has Tech 3 done that Factory Yamaha can't seem to figure out? And I am not just talking about the last race but a couple of the past few races Tech 3 has had a bike set up that rivaled Rossi and Vinales.

Could it be that Tech 3 is using the 15' & 16' M1 and their setup is completely different from the 17' M1?

Or is it that Factory team hasn't stole the setup for Vinales yet so therefore Rossi hasn't had it to steal from Vinales?

That's a good question. From what I remember, the '17 bike added some horses and I believe revised the chassis a bit for better turning? Or was it better braking? Whatever changes they made, they don't necessarily seem to be working better with the Michelins this year.

I thought the tech 3 bikes were last years model but they would get some parts handed to them from the factory every now and then. Zarco doesn't seem to be messing around and it's good to see home in the mix some races.
