Guilty! I used double-stick, I was worried I'd never get it off! I remembered a post where someone asked if that would be ok to do - omg the responses!

Yeah, that was a funny thread. Really only way to know is the outlet! It'll pass the 10ft/10mph rule lol

I thought we had someone who did that once...and the stickers melted?? No??

dude you gots to get the reflective heat resistant stickers :D

drill out rivets and get rid of flapper, hell get ambitious and do a carbon can or remove mufflers and extend pipes and don't slap an AR sticker on it.

jesus i'm freakin hallucinating from all these plumbers' posts!

Nobody's doing stickers, this was all in jest! There was another guy last year that was taking the stock cans aprt to gut them. I don't know what ever happened to that project

i got some foil termi stickers here somewhere -- i really do.....

you wouldn't want to totally gut them, but yeah, someone should get a free donor pair from an R owner and experiment for the sake of our most excellent mostly egalitarian forum.

This doesn't surprise me at all. The slip-on's have so far produced the most power - both from the regular map and from the racing upmap. . . It's a decent several horsepower difference between the slip-ons and the full system as well. . The full system seems to have a better curve but only after around 7k rpms, and if you look at the superstock manifold graph - that is even more telling, that as the pipe size and length increase, the lower end seems to suffer. Which is why people are saying the termi manifold (full system) seems to be a bit too "large" for the system.

It all makes sense. Ducati desgned a bike in such a way that it is difficult to do much with the plumbing, and still maintain the asthetics of the bike. So the cans can make a good difference. The full Termis are more race oriented, so they should perform well/better at higher RPMs. Now I wonder if the new model of Termi header performs even better, you would think they redesigned for a reason :)

I am feeling the same. :(

With that money...sell the S and get the R! lol

I hate myself right now.

Or wait for the future RR?!?

These exhausts are so ridiculously expensive that I am actually going through this argument in my head: Should I get an exhaust for the Pani or get one more bike?

I'm leaning toward option B. :)

Buy the MisFit, cheaper than even the Akra!

How about spending 4k on a TURBO. I'm sure we can get more HPs/TQ with that?!? no?

I do thank OP for the long hard efforts and posting the result.

Or Superbike school. Guaranteed to see better results for your money. ;)

You bought the wrong bike for that. Diavel might be a better starting point. :)

No, look at the termi superstock exhaust header/manifold. It's longer and probably thicker (whcih is why it requires removal of the oem fan). The graph shows a decrease of performance over the current full system all the way up to around 7k or so. Then its a significant increase over the full system from there until close to redline. "significant" is pretty significant if you know what I mean. But yes, it sacrifices 3-6k for 7k-12k performance. But the key thing is area under the curve, and its definitely larger at the expense of track only.

Yikes...12k??? :D

yeah but someone already did that with Diavel:cool:

Superbike school (done that already) but is big bang for the money. I just need to do more track but time is not on my side over the last 12 years. :(

CSS is big buck for the bang.... Rather do an awesome ride through Europe for that price..:p

I'm doing the 2 day camp at VIR in August. Let me know if anybody is attending. I got one of those pit lane rooms above the garages at the finish line so we can crack a couple beers and watch from the balcony. :)

What exactly are you going to be watching from the balcony when you are "doing the 2 day camp" ? Unless your version of the 2 day camp is to attend and watch and not actually riding. . ..

I was hoping there would be other cool stuff going on when I am not busy on the track. No? I don't really know what to expect since the trip reports weren't focused on the after-class activities. Anyway, offer for beer and sitting and watching empty race track is still open. :)
