Austinracing Exhaust Questions Part2 1199R

After all this you would seriously consider buying the AR exhaust? I'm surprised at that to be honest.

Well, I'm counting on them never getting it right. When I say get it right, I'm not only talking from an engineering perspective, but I'm talking about the whole package including customer service which has been drenched in fuel and lit up numerous times.

Also, I cannot get on board with any company that has a flawed design that requests the part to be shipped back first before they will send out a replacement. That's not a warranty issue, that's a DESIGN FLAW aka a recall, huge difference! The only difference is the government doesn't force them to issue a recall because it's an aftermarket performance part.

When your pani dash craps the bed (if it already hasn't) lets see how far you get with Ducati replacing it under warranty without having the defective part back first.

My rear shock rebound adjuster went out. My shop ordered a new one while I kept riding my bike, and I came in for the swap! So been there, done that! :)

has anyone sent out their dash to D on their own dime, had to wait for return ship, get blamed for it and then had to install on their own dime? has anyone-- oh wait-- forget it--

roll eyes yeah sure...

Been there... replaced without delay... Dash issue sux but this isn't a good example to try to make your point...

hey Rich....question.....would it be possible to ship out the replacement part to new haven powersports....i understad thats an authorized dealer....that way any owners could get it replaced there without any down time....of course if they didnt mind traveling there

i gotta be honest AR is the only exhaust that makes the Ducati sound like one....all the other exhasuts i have heard thus far are so quiet...i wouldve kept my termis if they sounded like the ones on my 1098 but they are way too quiet...hp numbers isnt my main concern...u need sound to keep from getting hit in these US cities

So you have a failed part on your system??

I'm in 100% agreement with you. As stated I was seriously looking at making this purchase. I have to admit I was still looking & weighing up options. I love the look & sound. Like you the HP numbers are not my highest priority.

However I simply would not do business with someone like Rich. He really does need to take a long hard look at how he has handled himself.

I would assume they would send part to authorized dealer. Im sure ducati would not send buyer a replacement part and hope you sent part back. In the immortal words of Rodney King and Reginald Denny "can't we all just get along".

The problem is there are but a couple of authorized dealers in the whole world. But you would think they would at least offer a core charge arrangement.

wow.....i jus finished reading the last few pages on the other AR update forum.....i dont know what i want to do anymore now....i feel bad for wafatboy

i think what i might do is contact New Haven Powersports and see if they have any feedback on how the system performs in real life and how Rich is through there back n forth communication......that will help me make my final decision

Yep & that's how he treats a good customer. Don't forget you're looking at a $4K exhaust here.

Nothing wrong with making an informed decision.

No but "D" (probably the dealer) has refused dash replacement to owners because of aftermarket LED signals, which is BS. But back on topic. Rich lets see some pics of the system on the 1199R.

Uhm no, you take it to the DEALER, they take pictures, Ducati issues replacement, then dealer calls you in to replace it. You don't ship the part back first. I've made a warranty claim with Ducati already, was flawlessly done. Next.

Thank you for proving my point. You don't get a replacement part until they got the old one. In your case (and mine) you had to make two trips and wait for the new part to get to the dealer. Ducati didn't drop ship a new warranty part to your house and say, send us the old one if you feel like it.

Sorry didn't mean to get of track, but i'm back and in full ignore more lol.
