Austinracing system updates

The thing I objected to was the suggestion that they would repair it, which was their first gambit, and that I had to send it back first, which showed a lack of trust.

They then agreed to run the swap in parallel if I sent them confirmation that I had shipped the part, again showing a lack of trust which was annoying, and is reflective of the paranoia we have seen exhibited on this forum.

Ultimately I wanted to send it back so they could see what happened and so they could make sure it wouldn't happen again on the replacement, and returning a part that was warrantied is pretty standard. I like the sound and we have extracted good overall performance so I'm not going to cut my nose off to spite my face!

I'm hoping that the heatshield has shipped with it but I don't think so, so who knows when I'll get that but given I spent $80 shipping the broken exhaust back to them I'd expect to pay nothing for the heatshield.

I've toyed with the idea of starting a new site with mods able to a shut down threads that get out of control after a warning. They also control where vendors post, and control the spam. When Duc went AWOL I set up the basic infrastructure so if that happens again I will set it live.

Let me know if you need help - this forum is turning into a madhouse with way too much bitching that distracts from sensible discussion about the 1199 and associated topics.

Cloner, Higgs - you guys stay here, we're good.

Hey, Rich.....wanna try a fourth thread? :)

While this thread did the usual spiral (mostly thanks to you), I don't think there are that many unanswered questions left on the product. Other than a pic of the heat shield, it seems like most of the info has been shared.

When I do the final report on the AR it will be on this forum so we'll be able to discuss with some moderation
Ducati 1199 Panigale Forum

After road testing for 5000 miles we have still not had any parts fail. That said, the bike is trying to shake itself apart, for this reason all future systems have a few modifications to ensure longevity.

As previously stated any owners that want or require the updates please return the part and we will be happy to modify.

It is possible the install can play a part in causing a bracket failure. It is very important the system sits freely unstressed with clearances as per the instructions.

So it was either the bike's fault or the installer's - not exhaust. That's a relief.
