In case you have not noticed I am no longer a vendor on this forum.

I am purely attempting to give useful and potentially informative information to owners of our exhaust system.

Unfortunately the thread has been invaded and discredited by the same mob that previously destroyed the AR threads.

Where we go from here I am not sure! A new thread, a new forum, it's up to you lot really!

After road testing for 5000 miles we have still not had any parts fail. That said, the bike is trying to shake itself apart, for this reason all future systems have a few modifications to ensure longevity.

As previously stated any owners that want or require the updates please return the part and we will be happy to modify.

It is possible the install can play a part in causing a bracket failure. It is very important the system sits freely unstressed with clearances as per the instructions.

The post above was why things kicked off again because AR appears to be disclaiming the fault was with the product. Instead of disclaiming the issue there should have been a full acknowledgement and explanation at the beginning of this thread:

- acknowledge & describe the issue in detail
- provide an explanation for the issue, including detail around fabrication
- explain what has been done to remedy it
- explain returns policy for owners clearly, and apologise for inconvenience
- reiterate importance of correct installation, asking existing owners to check theirs
- as an aside describe QA and testing process

Had this happened there would have been a much more sympathetic reaction and AR's customer service, which is actually fine, would have been enhanced.

It's never fun admitting that your product or service was at fault but its much, much better to acknowledge openly and make good quickly and demonstrate great customer service in fixing the issue.

My replacement part has landed in Australia and will be with me shortly.

i would bin the f'in exhaust as matter of principle!

this vendor/product/thread is scourge.

PS Rich don't delude yourself and/or ........ members here: you are still very much vending up in here! and if you were a decent "vendor" you'd be refunding WAf what he paid for all his troubles BETA TESTING your BETA RELEASE EXHAUST but instead you blame everyone else for your bs and make customers jump through hoops for your manufacturing defects and fibs! the gall!

A very small percantage of this forum owns an AR. I suggest you market directly to them with help for their product like every other vendor. Also then you will be assured to reach all 100 or so you claim to have.I am sure all your owners aren't constantly monitoring this thread for help with their product.

I suggest if you don't have an AR you shut up and stop pretending like you know anything about it. Also, stop offering up advice about it. It's like someone with a BMW coming on here and telling members about the panigale which he doesn't even own or intend to get. what is the point other than to be combative and get your jollies? It's crazy....really.

If you have the pipe or want the pipe post. If you don't like the pipe or are not going to get one there are many other threads to hijack on this forum.

Troll:
In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who delights in sowing discord on the Internet by trying to start arguments and upset people.[1]. They may do this by posting deliberately inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[4]

Interesting definition eh??

this is obviously a very closed minded group of individuals who continue to reject basically anything or anyone that comes near this forum.

it's quite the shame considering this is already a very niche forum, pertaining to one model of motorcycle, and there is quite little to talk about as it is....one would think new ideas and products would be welcome..... this is how a forum fails. hopefully the collective mind of the forum can overcome, time will tell.

With these last 3 posts, off to a good start :)

Plenty more where that came from dude. ... OFF TRAUMA YOU STUPID SADDASS MONKEY FUKKER

Really? Chill out man, it's going to be ok.

If you no longer want to read his posts, add him to your Ignore List and they will not show up as you surf the forum.

Strange!

Why not attempt to read a post correctly before commenting?

I clearly stated that in 5000 test miles we have not had a failure and that failures COULD be due to the parts being installed under stress, NOT HAVE but COULD be due to this.

You guys are just out for trouble you don't read posts you simply blurt out without thinking.

We have supplied you a new part and a free heat shield is on route, given you a massive amount of support and advice on mapping and yet your posts are nothing like your private emails to me. Why is this?

Agreed, but,

Unfortunately we are battling against narrow minded individuals hell bent on causing trouble.

I'm going to start a new thread in an attempt to keep it clean.

Would you do us all a favour and keep an eye on it for all the genuinely interested members that want a decent thread

Thanks in advance.

Response

Rich I assume you are referring to me. I've been balanced all the way, and my last post detailed what I think IMHO should have happened from the outset to avoid all of this and avoid you pain, it wasn't an attack.

1. So when you were being harangued by others for requiring the return of the broken part I posted this in the interest of balance:

As far as I'm aware the defective part is being replaced not repaired, and I am expecting it this week. I sent the broken pipe & bracket back to the UK on that understanding. Given that mine was one of the two mentioned (and as far as I'm aware, the first) I thought it would be important for AR to be able to examine the problem so they could engineer a fix.
It's not convenient returning a largish part but its not the first time that I have been asked to return a product I have bought because it was defective, it's fairly standard practice.

2. Or this when the slagging was still flying around a week or so ago:

My replacement pipe is being shipped shortly, and the much anticipated heat shield will be coming with it. Again in the interest of balance its worth noting that AR have been straightforward to deal with and are being responsive to my questions. I feel Part III coming on.....

And previously:

Tnanks for the update. So far AR have been ok to deal with for me also, despite the incendiary approach on this forum.

3. I can't be accused of slagging the product either

...... with the extra HP we tuned out of it before we discovered the break that puts us at 195hp. When we get the replacement part back I'm pretty sure we'll be able to get rid of that dip in the power curve and the wrapping of the baffle should nicely round off the sound. You gotta be happy with that! Rich reckons it will ship end of this week so should be on the road the following week!

4. I've said much positive stuff including:

....I still prefer the aesthetic, the sound, and the bike is running better than ever thanks to the tuning work of ProTwin and the Tuneboy software. Initially I considered swapping back to the Termi slips but I quickly realised that I genuinely didn't want to. If something else were to fail then it would be a different story but for now I'm lovin the sound of this visceral monster (or at least I will be when I get it back on the road/track)

Or this

Makes me realise how good 'the exhaust that shall not be named' makes the bike look, and feel much lighter.

Or this:

Took the bike to the track last weekend, gopro so not great sound, and I'm taking it real easy as it was the first time out there but you get the idea. If you can live with loud pipes then it does sound unreal, no arguments. I'm trying to source some trackside video from a mate who was trackside.

So...

I've posted a bunch of other positive stuff, but I've balanced it without how I feel, which is my opinion and comes out in discussion which is what this forum is about. I've never slagged your product or service and I'm entitled to say what I like. I disagree with the untuned claims but other than that I've got what I bought, knowing I would tune it properly.

In relation to our email exchanges I keep it business like because that's best. I suggest we leave it that way.

Why? There is nothing new and you KNOW someone will say something that will hurt your (or the fanclubs) feelings and Groundhog Day will return. Obviously you're here to increase sales, otherwise you could email or PM updates to the 2 or 3 actual customers you have here. I respect and appreciate using the site for marketing purposes, I just can't comprehend how you think your approach on here will achieve the results you're looking for. Not trying to be controversial, just offering an opinion. Alas...go ahead and start a sixth thread.

Wow..

Way to go Rich.... Crapping on Waf... One of your best supporters on here..He has been patient beyond belief and always always fair..whilst being rightly disappointed with things along the way he has stuck with your pipe and maintained a positive outlook ... and you talk to him this way accusing him "causing trouble" etc...

You Sir have an odd way of dealing with people... I am shocked that Carlo didn't loose it when he read your post....

Call me nuts but I kind of get a kick out of reading all this bantering. Its a great lesson on how not to deal with people.

Puzzling. My advice is to just log in as Bugsy when getting ready to be a jerk to fellow members.

maybe we should coin a new phrase...."forum hyena"

group of annoying individuals who just like to heckle. Other than that don't really have much to contribute in a positive way.

I have not been banned from any forums!

GO AWAY FOOL

Why do you continue to lie? Other forums you end up telling people you don't agree with to go away. Not going to happen. Here is one of the forums you are banned from:

RSV4 vs R1

Before banning you, the admin there posted this picture against one of your threads, I think appropriate here as well:
