Hi Gents,

Anybody know how much the 1299 will be when it hits Australia?

And when exactly that will be?

Thank you

If its the same as UK

Base 16.695
S 20.795
R 28,995

Holy .... in the GBP to USD rate the R would be $40k wth. Ok I'm hoping less for you guys there.

I do not see the connection??

I checked the Ducati AUS site it didn't have the 2015's up so I checked Ducati UK I was giving him the UK price as most guys know the cost difference from that.

A new S here in May 2012 was $36k on the road. I reckon an S will cost about the same in 2015. If they put them up too much people here will just buy something else. I think you can get a beemer still for about $25k on road and I think the new R1 will be competition as well.

In Australia if you really want a Ducati you gotta pay.:(

slight hijack...

regards R1, some pricing has been mentioned to a mate that had a deposit on the R1M....$33k....base model $23.5K here in Oz

1000rr is 24kish on road here in Aus I think.

Will be interesting but id say the base 1299 will will be around 28k possibly 30k even.

And the s maybe 36k? But would really be keen to know the actuals

I'm not sure you can even preorder in Aus yet.

My 899 was 22k ride away. Makes me think the base 1299 has to be 30k surely

Base new r1 23.5k?

Can you get one brand new 2014 for 20k ride away ?

Why so much? Not a fan anyway. But sheesh

There is no R 1299 though right? Only base and S?

New 1199 R is coming not 1299 R

I picked up a 2014 S a couple of months ago and it was $36K, I would imagine the new one would be around the same, maybe slightly more.

dunno why the price, I think Yamaha reckon they're on to something special. you can get the 14R1 for a lot less than 20k at the moment...the 15 model is a big jump up from that though.

prices were RRP I quoted and only from one dealer in QLD.

re: Ducati pricing, I paid 32k for a new 13 S model with termi cans only 3-4 months ago....pays to wait!

1199 R is around $46,000 AUD on the road in Australia.

I expect we'll pay at least that when the Panigale R is released, which would be a better value bike but still hate the fact we get screwed on this side of the world!

Talking to the guys this morning and they are saying that the 1299 won't be available in Oz until June 15.

Pricing has not been spoken about yet.

Found this (pre-on road costs) price list here:
Ducati releases 2015 model pricing - Motorbike Writer

899 Panigale $19,990
1199 Panigale $26,990
1199 Panigale S $33,990
1199 Panigale R $42,990

No idea if its accurate but article says they've kept the prices the same.

Also:

"The 1299 Panigale is estimated to arrive in Australia in late March, early April."

Spoke to a guy at Fraser's looks like prices will the same if not very close to 2014 which is 28-30k for a base and 36k for the S. Also said he'd be surprised if they were ready to go before May that's after Demos and pre orders.

The S model there costs the same as the R for us. Can you title a US bike there?

I'm sure you'd be able to register one here, i wonder what shipping a bike from US to Aus would cost ?

Be hardly worth it . Conversion from US to AUS dollar + shipping + GST + ADR + tyres + fees and transport to where you live . Quick calculation will cost you approx 50k plus rego and SD .
