Our V2's have "quick downshift" but during the first few rides (I'm still breaking it in) it feels like I'm just jamming the gear in, and the slipper-clutch is doing all the work.

Is this normal? Does it auto-blip at higher revs? Can we make it auto-blip?

the sensor requires a force of 7-8kg to give a signal. if the revs are to low you may brute force the gear in with violence. clear what i mean?

2020 V4 has been locking me out of gears very badly right off the showroom floor. At first service the dealer “reset the computer” to fix the problem but it has only got worse. This reset will probably be the first step then you take it and test it again

do you ever get locked out of gears or is it Just shifting rough?

It's buttery-smooth going up, but going down is crunchy - when it crunches into a lower gear, I feel like the slipper is doing all the work. It doesn't lock me out though.

Does your bike auto-blip?

Yes - works up and down. Very smoothly. Ensure it is enabled in the settings though - both up and down.

Down shifting is hit or miss for me. Still cant figure it, not sure what I am missing?
Up shifting works better at higher revs with throttle wide open...down shifting works best with throttle closed and bike decelerating.
Thats all I can offer really. Works fine on my bike..smoother than manually clutchless shifting on my older bikes.

exactly my thought process but sometimes I have to give it a good push a 2nd time for it to engage.

Sub 3k rpm downshift is rough. Anything above it works good. Best on hard decell braking. As for upshifts when I shift under 50%~ throttle it has a weird delay. More so a ; Cut out throttle - shift up - engage throttle. It is noticeable.
After the First "unlock" service it didnt change. I only feel the bikes power more so now.

Starting to figure that after todays ride. I was able to play around with it it. Only thing that doesn't make sense is sometimes when I try to downshift it won't shift.

Definitely, make an appointment for that one. Might be something with the quickshifter. My r1 had issues with communication signals with the unit.

It's worth pointing out that at least on the V4 the manual says DQS will not downshift unless the throttle is closed. If you are trying to downshift with the throttle anywhere other than completely closed that might be your issue.

I just checked the V2 manual and it says the same thing.

When the weather is nicer I'll make sure I re-try DQS downshift on 0% throttle and over 3000rpm!

I did a complete roll off the throttle and it would not downshift, slight roll seems to be the sweet spot, not fully disengaged but almost full and it was pretty smoothe from 6th to 3rd. It’s jumpy up/down between 1-3

Past 2 days I have had complete failure of dqs upshift 2nd to 3rd. And again today. Im going to call the shop see if their are any recalls or issues with the system.

With a failure upshift on hard accel bike violently rev hits.

Can't be having failures like this especially if I plan to eventually track

had the same thing happen to memissed upshift resulted in over rev.

same for going down

shouldn’t be that hard but for some reason I’m not a fan. At 800 miles shouldn’t keep happening, might to take it in. I’m back to DQS off and it’s much more fun.
