Of course it’s a physical change… one that can very likely be fitted to ‘19-‘21 bikes.

No direct effect on the qs but an effect on gear change as there’s less of a torque delta and in theory should make programming the qs less difficult.

Revs also drop less bc gears are closer so don't have to retard timing as long. Regearing a 21 bike would be quite the endeavor

That’s why there’s a decrease in torque delta but it’s actually a shorter ignition cut not retard. Yes there will be less manipulation of the ignition once the new gear is selected.

As for regearing, it shouldn’t be difficult at all. I’m guessing there’s no other changes so a complete cassette swap would do it. I’d get the new one dlc coated or something. Expensive probably, but not difficult.

Torque delta? The QS is a microswitch. Its knows on and off.

Are you 12? I said it has no effect on the qs.

Toque delta is the difference in torque. In this case it’s the torque being transferred from the pinion to the cog. So there’s not as big of a difference in this torque transfer between the cogs in subject.

But, I’ll correct myself about programming the qs… it’s programming shift strategy and is all done via the ecu (which is actually what I meant).

Not to get into the weeds on QS operations but I think the ECU uses a combination of ignition cut and timing to accomplish shifts. Unless, you’ve seen a Ducati white paper on their QS protocol.

It does both, you’re right. Principle is the same for no lift shift, Ducati or otherwise.

I literally said that the change in gearing has no effect on the QS… so how tf is his question reasonable?
