The Shiner was a joke, but seems like a lot of them there, especially in Austin - Modello too. We don't have a really good selection of micros, I drink better when put of town.

(newly purchased Base).....ran it relatively hard up in the canyons today....approaching 200 miles now. so very, very pleased with the suspension on the base model, i'll even say that it was surprisingly good. i think the forks feel better than the rear shock, but both offer superior stability and feel, the bike was well planted even on the lesser quality patches of road. the Race seat did a good job of keeping me from sliding, and the Rizoma pegs helped keep my feet where they should be (the oem pegs are borderline dangerous, old news though). the motor? more smooth after the ECU update, good power in the middle, but after 7.5k is where it's at, man what a rush :eek: .

beyond surprised at the capability of the base model....what fun! :)

ps: the high heat factor was nil at open road speeds....the trick is not to stop or ride in town.
