New to the forum. I'm the proud owner of a 2012 Panigale S with full Termi system. Been reading several other forums for quite awhile, but this site seems to have the most knowledge of this bike I've found. I want to say thank you everyone all for all your insight and I've really learned alot. Well enough about that.

Back in 2009, I bought a Hayabusa after seeing the 2nd generation come out. Then I bought my first Ducati in 2010 when the Streetfighter S arrived. That was it for me as I finally found the bike I wanted. I loved the Streetfighter! The Busa just never got ridden anymore. I fell in love with everything Ducati and it just seemed ridiculous having this in the same garage. I really liked this bike when I first got it. The power was endless! But it had no character. I'm in no way an expert sportbike rider, but it's the only type of bike I like. At 44 with three kids, I should know better. I started to read everything I could on the development on the next superbike. When the Panigale finally debut, I had to have it. Traded in both bikes for the Panigale S and have no regrets whatsoever.

This bike is insane with it's power delivery. Had the new map installed a few weeks later. The Panigale makes me a better rider than I actually am. I mostly ride in the north Georgia mountains where there is little to no traffic and where I can unwind this beast. It's like a rockstar entering the building when I ride through these small towns. The looks from everyone is priceless. I'm addicted and love this machine. Hands down it's the best ever!

I came off a Gen II Busa for the Panigale too..

Haven't looked back once.
and I loved that Busa …

Interesting ex Busa riders on here.....me too with a Diavel in between.... I have often wondered how the 1199 stacks up against the Busa.... My memory still says the Suzuki was faster....am I dreaming here??? lol...Dont get me wrong..I love the Pani and wouldnt swap it for any other bike....

Nice to see the converts here! The first time I took the test ride on the 1199, I could not believe the turn in and how light the feel was. The Busa was smooth and comfortable, but the 1199 is also. For me, one of the best aspects of this bike is the quick shifter. Feels like being shot out of a freakin' cannon! With all the brutal power the Busa had, it does not compare how the Panigale lays it down through the gears. When I hit that perfect speed along with the matching RPM's, I swear this thing sings to me. Nothing, and I mean nothing compares to a Ducati twin and the thundering vibrations it sends through the rider with the throttle pegged. Worth the price of admission every time!
