Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

In an insane society, the sane man must appear insane... Mr. Spock.

Or, my Grandfather used to say, "It isn't the hectic pace of life that worries me, it is the sudden stop at the end..."

Murray Walker: yesterday in practice...the sun was out and you were doing 169MPH down the straight....today is Qualifying and the rain is pouring .....how fast will you be going down the straight? ( or words to that affect)

Ron Haslam......169MPH Murray...

Cannot remember exactly when probably early 80s but cannot find it on google...

The most important thing is to have a good relationship with the bike... you have to understand what she wants. I think of a motorcycle as a woman, and I know that sounds silly, but it's true.

"Hey dummy, you gotta go faster! Second place ain't nothing to be proud of" - Dad

"Pin it to win it" - Dad

"How in the hell do you manage to break everything!? I ain't fixin it this time -- you're on your own, dummy" - Dad

The the previous quotes have to be read with an Appalachian accent to get the full effect. All of these were said to me countless times over my childhood in a paddock full of 2-stroke dirt bikes and other kids parents telling them how great they did for getting 4th place all while my old man is reading me the riot act for not pushing hard enough.

When I first arrived in jail, my new cell mate "arse" came over to me with a women's dress, makeup, a woman's wig and then welcomed me with theses words...

"You have two choices, you can be the 'mommy' or 'daddy.'"

I immediately replied "Daddy" thinking that was the better end of the deal..

Arse replied "no problem."...
He walked to the other side of the cell and then proceeded to put on the dress, wig, lipstick and makeup and then came back to me and pulling up his dress saying
"Now get on your knees and suck mommy's cack"....

I've never to this day met such a romantic such as him
