I have a 2013 1199S that is stock, I'd like input on the best upgrades to get more torque in the midrange and over all. I have stock exhaust with 6000 miles on it. I am considering trading for a new 2015 S but I'd take a huge cash hit. This is my 9th Duc since 2002 so I have gotten used to that Ducati low and mid range power. I love the bike so want to see if the performance updates actually pay dividends.
Thanks,
Mark

Lol where in the hell do you need more torque on an 1199? I'm sure a full system and race ecu tune would help!

All Shown Here...........

.......With the exception of items not visible within. No "True" performance upgrades to increase HP, torque, etc as you requested. Will leave that to some of the expert members on tuning, programmers, etc. (Btw- Phil makes some very serious exhaust upgrades using your stock cans too!) Get w him on that issue!

The "Bling List" is actually too long to write out my friend.

Best wishes and Happy New Year! :D

A full system, or modded stocker, upgraded air filter with a quality tune will do wonders..

Also depending on what your using the bike for add 2 teeth on the rear sprocket.

Thanks Gunny,
I sent Phil an email and am looking forward to what he has to say.
I appreciate your input. I am also going to keep an eye out for a full Alta system deal.
By the way, really beautiful bike!!

Put on termignoni slip-on exhaust + UPmap. Replace 39 rear sprocket with updated 1199R 41 sprocket. Done.

I really don't do track days much anymore but my wife and I do a lot of day rides in the PNW and tour. But I've done the same on all my bikes from my 2002 ST4S to my 748R, 998s and this Panigale. Just not any track days the last few years.
Thank you for your input.

Rapid Bike, 520 Conversion and Termis
The 1199 is too twitchy on low rpm..gotta have The Rapid Bike!

Wow, sounds like Rapid Bike is the ticket. Is it similar to Power Commander and how about Tune Boy?

All I've ever used on some 998s was Power Commander.

Thanks guys.

And possibly suspension tuning.

Oh .... forgot about that :) suspension is the most important, doesn't have to be big bucks just adjusted by a pro and springs changed if needed.

Doctor the rapid bike is a little different from others i have used. Rapid Bike tune it for your specific bike setup and then it learns.

I had a stock 899 and fitted a Rapid Bike it really smoothed it out and made it crisp. I then fitted different pipes and it eventually sorted itself again, bloody amazing.

Riding lessons and a suspension tune before anything else if you really care about going fast. These things are monsters stock so i dont think you really need anymore hp unless you're a track star

Panhandler, I'm not looking for more top end, like my post says I'm after that torque/midrange. There's really not much until you get beyond 8k. That's fine for the track where your in the higher revs but I am interested in street and I'd like more Torque where it's used, 4-6k.
Yes on suspension, always! Ya ca never learn all there is about riding or anything for that matter.

Give some scenarios where you feel your missing the torque. Like stabbing the throttle on the freeway? As others have said maybe the larger rear gear. It will definitely wake the bike up. I completely agree on the rapid bike as it just makes the bike more rideable around town. I have the Termignoni full system and rapid bike race on my R and the combo of those and the taller gear are wicked. My buddy on a standard 1199 still passed me here and there on the back straight at the track if I didn't get the corner right. Turns eat up more time than any hp or torque gains you down the straight.

Tadashi,
Man that looks very high speed! I have been looking at the front exit Termis and they seem to fill that dip at 5k. I have only seen the carbon, where did you purchase the Ti cans?
I like buying from Motowheels , great guys there.

Thank you for your input.
