I used to regularly push start a 250kg 1972 Laverda Jota (1000cc triple), until I realised I had the wrong battery in it ;) Pani should be easy!

Welcome to the PArty Dude. I drove mine last weekend for a couple hours, got home parket it for about 30 min, came back out to try and start it and NOTHING! Just hissed, chugged and wouldnt start until about the 5-6th minute of trying, i turned key on, left it (because i had to walk away i was so pissed) came back and said these magic words "BITCH YOU BETTER ....... START" and sure enough she started. This is the second time this .... has happened to me, i posted the video below so you can see if the same .... happened to you. Plus id like to have trauma and other guys listen to give their

What you hear is me also doing the ignition reset by turning key off, kill switch, and turning it all back on before starting again. I walked ot the other side of the bike in order not to kick the son of a bitch because i was really getting mad but wanted to keep the video just of the bike not of me acting out :D

Remove the emissions canister. It's not needed anyway, and it will probably fix that problem.

Do what Lotto says. Many on the board have done so (I have) and it seems to resolve the hot/hard start problem.

Jay - I didn't see, did you trying holding the throttle wide open when you tried starting? I have had a couple times of it not starting after a 5-10 min cool down, and once at a red light, it stalled (my fault), and it would not start right awy. Last 2 times a WOT made it either purposely or coincidentally start right up.

I've had the same experience.

Open the throttle enough to take up virtual "slack" and try starting

Actually, my full throttle was when it was turning over, just not catching. Rereading your post, sounds like not even turning over. So gotta be a different issue since if it is not even turning over, doesn't sound like a fuel issue, but purely power.

Ok.. so another nice day. I had the bike plugged into the charger that Ducati gave me and after a 2 minute ride, I let the bike sit in the parking lot for 1 hour, come back and the Damn bike wouldn't start again!!! It did the same thing as I stated in my initial post to this thread. I thought back to my GSXR days and I bounced one time on the seat and hit the start button then the bike started right up. What the hell??? I'm calling MotoEuropa tomorrow to get this resolved. This bike is too new for this to happen. Anyone know the problem?

Does your bike turn over when you hit the start button? Did both engine lights come on?

I had an issue after my 1st service where my bike stalled and wouldn't start. It was a connector to the ECU that the throttle was connected to. It must've gotten loose. My dealer had it for a few days to figure it out and they made sure that all the connectors were secured.

I connect my battery to a Battery Tender everytime I park it so hopefully I don't have any issues.

Not at all only ENGINE lights. And side stand on the left bottom corner.

Took mine to the dealer for same issue. They traced the wires and found a loose (not so tight) ground wire. Hopefully that solves the issue. Will let everyone know but hasn't done it again since then.
