Hate the look of the exhaust without a bellypan covering it
Not much you can do here, road version must have catalytic converter fitted. All this is removed on track

I reckon at least 85% of buyers would be poseurs
CF bodywork is a hugely unnecessary expense and is very wasteful manufacturing process.
Small panels of exposed CF in key areas can and will make for a more attractive product, but there's no way a manufacturer such as BMW is blind to the unnecessary expense that CF bring in certain applications.
Was speaking to a BMW / Aprilia master tech the other day about oil consumption on Aprilias when the topic of oil consumption on the current M1000RR came up. 1L per 1000km was the accepted original figure before BMW would authorize diving into the engine. After several higher level reports became evident this figure was increased to a whopping 1.7L per 1000km being acceptable lol. I know it's a bike made for race homologation where oil consumption would not really be an issue but when it has to be sold as street bike too that's just insane. I reckon at least 85% of buyers would be poseurs with no mechanical inclination and surely there will be more and more of these bikes with engine issues as time goes on.
Having popped two ducati's with aftermarket tunes...i'm staying stock Evo Tune (full akro) and calling it good on my new V4s....Motomillion’s BMW saga was super shady. It started with a weird explanation on how they purchased the bike. It seemed like it was through a 3rd party seller. Doesn’t sound like they bought it from a dealer. And then they had a check engine light 9 miles in that also didn’t seem like it was run through a dealer. Then they had a Brentune on it. So yeah, not surprised BMW didn’t warranty it.
These tunes probably caused some knock or detonation and ...... the rod bearings
Anyone who claims to "need" more power on their already 200hp plus street or trackday Pani is just having an ego moment
I don’t think anybody has said it is a necessity?
There isnt much room to increase the hp anyway
The point is that our bikes are already powerful enough unless you are racing, the HP wars are over, the new frontier is electronics and how to get that power to the ground. There isnt much room to increase the hp anyway with seriously shortening engine life and without the tires to use it, if people want to do rebuilds every few months good for them but the rest of us just want to ride them for years with regular servicing only.

I met a guy over the last couple of years on track who has a really tricked out bike - serious money gone into it, WSBK spec this and that. Is he the fastest rider? Nowhere near, although he’s far from slow, but he’s always got the biggest smile on his face and he’s enjoying himself immensely.
Definition of a poseur
wait until she ups unrealized cap gains to 40% poor chav
Wait until he unleashes a trade war and decimates the domestic workforce. Lazy Americans don’t pick crops or do manual labor. These idiots that want mass deportation would rather collect a welfare check that will actually dwindle under a Trump presidency. ....... morons are shooting themselves in the foot. If you think food is expensive now wait until they have to pay an American to harvest it.
This can be said about 99% iPhone users, most will be okay on model 4 or 5
So the value of saying it is zero
People buy .... because of various reasons, as long as they have cash, all good
The point being was that majority of people that buy this bike are not the type of people that will be mechanically minded enough to be regularly checking their oil level
Totally agree. Definitely not a dig. I'm all for people buying whatever they want or can afford. The point being was that majority of people that buy this bike are not the type of people that will be mechanically minded enough to be regularly checking their oil level (as opposed to the insta likes on their iPhone 16) given such potential masssive oil usage. See it in RSV4s and 660s over here a lot leading to engine issues and denied warranty claims.
and moreover, if we keep making this parallel with Iphone, you would be surprised how many grandmas go to the service center at the Apple Store to install a new app or add an email account. Its same ..... Majority are dumb but hey, they don't read forums.
