Yep - Ducati Detroit recommended the 17 at the time of purchase and that’s what’s installed on my 2019 v4 base.

Regarding reservoirs, I can’t speak definitively but think they recommended the reservoir kit that is available from Brembo for like $50.

On a side note, I was at COTA this weekend and saw a couple panigales running the smaller clutch reservoirs on the brake MC. Has anyone seen this or know anything about it? I meant to ask the techs but forgot.

Craig

I was there and I am running the smaller reservoir as well.

is the smaller reservoir, THE CLUTH SIZE reservoir? Part number110A26386

or is it the brake reservoir recomended by BREMBO for the brake mc? Part number110A26385

Space is incredibly tight with my master and evol clip-ons. The smaller reservoir along with the carbon mounts I bought from a guy here made it work. I also had to order a diff set of bsd buttons to fit everything. No downsides with the smaller rez long as you keep an eye on fluid level with pad wear. I will look to see which one I ordered but its bigger than the clutch res for sure.

Good to know. From a quick glance at the track, it looked identical to the clutch res.

Space is tight for me with the corsa corta mconWoodcraft clipons.

I also run the smaller 15ml reservoirs on my clutch and brake masters w/ stock clip-ons.

Only downside I've run into is that changing pads is a pain because you have to pull fluid out of the reservoir to be able to push the pistons back into the calipers without the reservoir overflowing. Especially if you've needed to top off as your pads wear.

Hearing the billet option is much better

but what model is it

i see some for 500 bucks, and some others got 1,900

Hearing the billet option is much better...

i'm no expert but i discussed this exact issue with a Ducati dealer emplyee and former AMA racer when i bought my v4. he explained that they have a sponsored racer who used both the corsa corta and billet mc on their race bike, and that racer didn't have a preference for one over the other, but did care anout the consistency of using the same one for an entire weekend. so this one pro racer didn't prefer the billet over the corsa corta or vice a versa, he only cared that they not switch from one to the other during a weekend.

Have you considered a Galespeed VRE? To me it looks like a better option to Brembo XR0117x masters, and I have an XR01171 myself.

In BSB, stock 1000 class must run the road bike m/c and calipers, the superbikes run upgraded kit.
Fastest stock bike on treaded tyres gets in amongst the superbikes lap time wise. I think it's a personal thing, whether you like the feel, or whether you want some bling.

Feel of the stock MC in my opinión is good (bit smooshy) but good feel overall

what i am looking for, is the same braking power or a bit more, with less hand pressure or effort

Does the rcs give you this?

I always developed significant arm pump on track and my hand would start going numb starting with my pinky finger and progressing to all my fingers. Thats not why I did it but I completely replaced my braking system last winter and it hasn't happened again, at all. While there is definitely more power and feel, my arm pump issue being gone is the biggest benefit for me.

did you delete, the ABS ?

or just the MC?

Agreed. Personal preference could vary, and a given rider might prefer the feel of the less expensive mc over the billet.

Also agree regarding bling - I can’t ride the stock bike to it’s limits, so I don’t “need” to upgrade anything. And yet I do. So absolutely - if money is no object, get the ultimate gp mc and the calipers and carbon discs to go with it. :)
