Talking about brake pads

what do you experts recomend ?

BREMBO Z04 or VESRAH XX?

mostry street, with 5 or 6 trackdays a year

Right now, I am using the XX and feel good, just changed MC to a BREMBO CORSA CORTA 19

having a trackday next week, and pads are starting to wear out

You can't go wrong with the Z04 pads I have ran both them and the Ferodo X-rac the 04's feel better. Good combo with the RCS or XR masters.

thanks mick

will try them for my next set of pads

only hear good things about them

No matter what pads ya bought I recommend bead blasting the rotors or at least put em in a lathe and take a 3m pad to them

I’m sure Mick will agree : )

I don’t have any stylma calipers here but it’s taking me longer to type this than it did to search and verify that yes they do : )

Z04s have more overall braking power, so if you're riding at a level that requires absolute performance, they're the way to go. I personally prefer the XXs because they offer much, much better progressive feel. Z04s seemed to bite really hard and made me uneasy with deep trail braking, possibly a side effect of also having ABS still routed and losing some lever feel because of that. Either way, I feel like I can rest my finger on the lever and feel the XXs ever so slightly touch the rotors, whereas the Z04s felt more like an on/off type thing. What XX pads gain in progressive feel is lost at max braking effort though, as they noticeably don't drop the anchor anywhere near as hard as the Z04s can.

thanks, great way to clear it out

Also when they start braking hard, they do it progressive, inicial bite, is not as harsh

helping to not get unsettle.

Well, at least with oem Master cilinder, will try them with the corsa corta this weekend

I haven't tried the Vesrah, so perhaps my opinion is mute, but I have tried the EBC GPFAX and the Z04.

Much in line with what has been written above, the Z04s with the Stylema and stock M/C have phenomenal braking, it's too much for me (track only) tbh. The GPFAX have less initial bite, which I find makes me feel more comfortable under braking (perhaps because you have to brake earlier, and have a slightly longer braking distance). But, I have a set of GPFAXs to go back into the V4, and I'll see if I want to adapt to the Z04 and just go with them, I would think they have a performance advantage, if you can use it.

Just purchased a set of Z04s to install in my V4R for track work. I will put up a post on how they performed and i will be making a note to stick on my dash to remind me of the new pads so i don't end up over the bars after grabbing a stack of front brake, which is what I'm used to lol

Pretty confident you'll be happy with them. Throw some Endless brake fluid in too while you're at it. Been running this on stock brakes for 2 years with no issues and have great brake feel.

Mate z04s have been in use for last 15 years, at various levels. Just enjoy your track day

the z04 pads are a product only for track use because are much aggressive in attack: they could be a problem in street use with less grip and cold tyres

for street use brembo OEM pads are a good product

EBC Brakes EPFA447HH

this is all you need. track and street (agree they are very hard initial bite like @Elio says for the Z04s...

zero reason to spend so much on anything else...i get two very hard track days out of a front set....(one time i got 3 days...)

Total bollocks

Z04 provide much better bite and last longer, also don't fade when hot

SBS 841 DS-1 or DS-02 are great too, two versions differ in how they bite. They last much longer than Z04Sls

EBC is a street grade product, you can use them on track for sure, but with lots of compromises

eh...whatever..ive used both, pay more if you want.

and the EBC HH pads come in three verities.... the EPF are the middle ground between full race (GPX).....

EBC all the way

I'm going on 6 track days on my set of Z04s. Not a demon on the brakes or ride brake-heavy tracks
that is a lot!

my track is Cota...into turn 12 on back straight i'm coming from 180s to 40s in about 150-200m...i can do that about 6 or 7 times in 20min sessions...and we get 6x sessions each day, so 12 for the weekend...and mine are good for a couple thousand street miles...but def not another track day.

I couldn't tell difference in Z04 and the EPF pads from EBC personally, and they lasted the same amount of time/laps/miles...at 50% the cost.

I saw no reason to even try the GPX EBC pads which are their RACE ones.

The inital bite on Z04 and EPF is extreme and did catch me off guard on my typical weekend blasts in hill country..but once noted it was no issue at all
