Hi Folks. I installed my Brentune stage 1 tonight. Going to test it out tomorrow. I’m really hoping it helps smooth things out at lower speed.

It feels like it’s my birthday!

I went for a ride this morning with stock air filter and stage 1. It’s hard to tell the difference honestly. It feels like it is smoother at lower RPMs but I could be imagining it. I’m also running in reduced power mode, which is already smooth. I’m going to try full power later today and push it a bit (after sports air filter is in).

I have the stage 1 with the akra exhaust and it is a lot smoother in race mode. Its really just better AFR. Your not gonna notice anymore real power. Thats supposedly what the new stage 2 is supposed to do along with unlocking the torque in all gears where as the bike is limited in gears 1-4 now. Im hoping to order and test out the new stage 2 once the weather gets better.

Thanks Arod96. I tried with the performance filter in this afternoon and its the fastest I’ve ever gone. I think it’s a combination of things though: handlebars, clutch position, throttle spacers, and mostly my increasing confidence. I usually drive sports car fast (I know that’s slow for a bike), today was consistently fast sports car fast and on one occasion a acceleration I’d never experienced before (all on straight, empty roads on a bright and sunny day).

I played with the throttle settings. On medium engine setting, with EBC set to minimum braking, it was smooth rolling on and off the throttle above 70 mph. Below about 50 I could feel the jerkiness rolling on and off. Low engine setting was silky smooth below 50.

I’m pretty happy with how it’s feeling now. Here’s a list of the things BT moto say their stage 1 does.

“Correct fueling on both banks in “Alpha N” modeDeceleration fuel cut off for all gears, the bike will no longer jerk from throttle inputs (BT Moto exclusive)
Lower fan temp activation (BT Moto exclusive)
Raise rev limiter
Raised torque limiters
Raised load limiters
Revised traction control and ABS (BT Moto exclusive)
Ignition timing adjustments
Exhaust valve adjustments”

Yea I came from a newer R1 with a lot of work done to it so riding fast is the only way I know how to ride lol. This bike isn’t for the faint of heart especially at full tilt. I was just talking to what the BT stage 1 did for me. Compared to stock wide open it wasn’t a huge difference but I also bought the bike brand new with the Akra up map and never rode the bike completely stock. The Akra up map is pretty good minus the jerkiness which I believe the stage 1 helps a lot. The bike is still power limited in gears which is my biggest complaint. I want all the power in all gears not just 5th and 6th

Nice! This was my first liter bike so it’s been taking me a while to get used to it. I’m 2,400 miles in now and just starting to get comfortable on it. I doubt I’ve ever gone above 60% of the bikes capacity in a straight line. I’ll get there ;)

Do you have the Akra slipons or the full exhaust? Either way they both look great.

Nice! I like them a lot. Maybe later this year :)
