This Sunday my buddies and I were followed by a cop for 8 miles. We knew he was there, we were obeying the laws. He finally pulled me over (I was in the lead) and gave me a ticket for "unsignaled" lane change.

I have the Competition Werkes integrated tail tidy with the amber\green turn signal. It's not very bright. I was signaling, but the officer couldn't see it. I would like to know if anyone can recommend something that is more visible. I am a cop magnet and it's getting old.

Man..That cop just wanted to find an excuse to write a ticket didn't he??? I think you need to reinstall the separate turn signals if you are facing such officious policing..:(

I've thought of reinstalling the factory signals, but I really like the integrated look. However, I don't like tickets.

Have you considered the smaller LED euro signals???

Yes, but my buddy that was riding with me has those and the officer commented that he never signaled either. The third rider in my party has stock "huge" signals and he's the only one the office saw signaling. Of course, he was in the back and I don't know how the officer could see me signaling with two bikes blocking his view.

Since the incident in New York lots of cops are pulling over bikers for the slightest reason and ticketing them.

hi,
arent turn signals optional on a motorcycle? and knowing you have integrated turn signals (which i will have soon also) and seeing a cop behind you, shouldnt u use hand signals as well? this would give the cop less of a reason to stop u..

they are optional but you still have to signal some way to get over..... that cop was just a jerk..

If the story you say here is 100% exactly how that situation went then that cop was just your typical everyday cocksucking cop. After a mile at most, PULL OVER. Staying doing the speed limit for another 7 miles won't change the cops mind if he's already seen you allegedly commit an infraction. Go to court, explain that you did in fact signal and that obviously the pig must've been mistaken. Ya never know, you could win. I ....... hate cops for this reason- they don't give a .... except tax collecting (writing trivial ........ title 39 violations). #FUGDAPOLICE

I hate those pussy, stupid ass, no god damn reason, ....... tickets. .... off and go somewhere else. arent there PERPS?!?!??!?!?! Wheres the perps!! go get the sick ..... doing ...... things. And stop issuing pussy tickets.

I just bought the new LED plate relocater from NRC. I will tell you how it looks and functions as soon as I get it installed. It might be the solution to our problems. They say its very bright, even in the daytime.

I have the completely retarded fu$king ...... Competition Werkes ones with the LED's pointing DOWN inside of the tail light. I hope someone finally tells these ass hats at CW that 1. LED's need to be pointed at the area you are trying to illuminate (read: cars behind you) and 2. That the other tail light they sell is shitting during the day and we hate the LED on feature when the ignition is off.

One day they will get it. Hopefully this kit fixes my problems:

In commufornia, that relocated license plate bracket will still get you a ticket by law. Most cops will overlook it but it needs to be clearly visible 50ft away and those plates that are tucked back there above the tire are hard as hell to see. Two guys I rode with last sunday got pulled over for no plates n that's when the cop broke it down in detail. He was cool and gave them a warning. I have the evotech and e-code integrated taillights but he didnt say anything to me. Don't know how other states are. .

i just installed these today and they are plenty bright. white pani has them too and his are bright. The pig just wanted to write you a ticket. nothing to do with safety all to do with redistribution of wealth. you know someone has to pay for the 47 % that doesnt pay income taxes and not forget about the cops cushy pension

I plan on putting it on tomorrow. Its a pretty cool kit, I dont know about how long it will last. I will take some pics too. Its basically a piece of lexan that they prob heated, put some relief cuts and bent, then they attached a solid amber LED bar on each side (not the cheap ones you can see the individual LED bulbs from autozone) and they put them on the edges. I will bet its bright as ...., but will render an opinion after the install. They also have, at the bottom of it, a LED light that illuminates the plate, looks pretty trick the way they bent the lexan.

Also one of my questions when I bought it was if I could use their license plate bracket with my rear foot pegs. They said yes, but apparently I didn't ask it clear enough or they were wrong, because it looks like the plate mounts to the same place. I haven't brought it to the bike to look yet. Think CW plate relocator.

The wire harness, or lack thereof, is just a couple wires coming off the LED's for both sides. So not exactly having connectors. I expect to strip them, and use barrel connectors to attach to the prior harness for the CW product.

Regardless, this sure cant be WORSE than the Competition Werkes one for brightness !

Its the same in Louisiana, the law specifically reads that the plate needs to be visible from 50 feet away, one statute. It needs to be illuminated by a white light, another statute. The turn signals need to be separate and visible for signaling, another statute.

All three are rarely enforced here except for P.O.P. or P.C. for a stop (rarely bikes).
