Ok,
So as i morph my 899 into the track-only bike now, I just installed an 1199 slipper clutch and a BSD Blipbox Pro.
Shifts with the clutch are perfect, up and down. Quick-shift up are fast sharp and amazing!.....
Downshifts on the other hand... I have to RAM the shift lever to get it to down shift with the autoblip. Clutch in downshifts are perfect.
I'm going to play with the software a bit, but in case someone else has already ran across this would you mind giving me a clue?
And yes,... I used the SEARCH button... Lots of issues with 1299 DQS, but I can't seem to find anything with the 899/1199 and wicked hard downshifts.

Hey bro,
I've been working on a new map for my 899 as well. I have a Yoyodyne Slipper.
I'm pretty close to where I want it but still needs slight work going from 4<3 and 3<2. Ill be at the track tomorrow dialing it in a little more.

I'm assuming you mean you need a lot of force to get the blip to engage on downshifts?

What is the base map you started with?

Ill share what I currently have and see if it helps.

So, just as an update, had a great day at NJMP yesterday. First session I ran the base 899 blip map, and I have to be honest,... there were SO MANY issues. Still HARD to down shift and a ton of accidental neutrals during up shift and down shifts. One was a 95mph hard right hander shifting down to 3rd and it felt like I was pushed because it went into neutral instead of engaging the gear. Almost went down, but my lightning quick reactions and awesome skill saved it and rode it out through the grass.

So, second session out I loaded mattyrich's blipmap,... and what a world of difference. Clean upshifts, nice quick blips and good downshifts...

If anyone has a similar setup, 899 with slipper and BlipBox Pro,.. see if you can get his blipmap. Amazing.

I'm headed back out on the 31st to try two others he was tweaking this week.

HUGE THANKS to Mattyrich!!!!

Have you gone to full track plastics? If so which fairing stay and subframe did you go with??

Sure did. I'm using a motoholders fairing stay with a Carbott Composites ram air duct. Cant say better things. Also, I'm running an 1199 rear subframe

Glad it was working better.

After talking to JarHead, we run a similar setup. RapidBike with BlipBox Pro, and a Slipper Clutch. Just curious if anyone else out there is running the same setup?
I’m thinking they may not work well together, from a Base Blip Map perspective. Yeah, I’ve been tweaking maps to make it work, but still not 100%.

When loading the Base 899 map, the bike would surge forward violently on downshifts. Over Revving the throttle while trying to brake into a corner.
Same experience as JarHead, I had a couple false naturals and oh sh*t moments.

I don’t remember having that experience prior to installing RapidBike.

I won’t be back on the track for a few more weeks, but i will bypass RapidBike and see how she feels.
If it is in fact RapidBike then I’ll reload my Tuneboy tune maps and see if they play well together.

Hey Jar head... the Blip box you are talking about here is the one you bought from me , which you have filed a PayPal claim that you didn't .... Shall I post up all the PayPal messages and your messages asking me where to ship ?

Nice try Matt Kinsey ...AKA SCAMMER !

Make it right with PayPal!
