Buying 1199 Superleggera 2014

Im in California Cerova. Yeah Acowsic, I know the waiting can get tough. I went through it with the Desmo. It took years instead of the months this will take. Nevertheless, it still requires patience although it is fun to think about it coming in Spring.
 
I'm also in, confirmed from Ducati, 20% down already, etc.
Getting mine via FBF.

Where in NY are you, Cerova?
 
So my dealer has already sold their first Superleggera. It was bought by a local surgeon, that currently has a Panigale he rarely rides. When I get some time, I'm going to go down and look it before it leaves the shop.

BTW, the Superleggera has the same wider faring design that the Panigale does with the air foils installed. This also means the fairing won't fit a non-Superleggera Panigale. And, since I have them installed on my fairing, all I need is my Akra and some decals, and I too, will own a Superleggera :D

What is this "wider faring design" you speak of ? Might it be those separate Aero wings that came as an add on for the front fairing of the bike?

The Superleggera has a fairing that is designed to be similar to non-Superleggera fairing with the wings installed. Ducaiti obviously decided the fairing with the wings is a better race design, as it truly deflects the air better then with out them.

When I get up there, I will do side-by-side photograph comparison with mine, as I have the wings installed.
 
most track fairings are the wide version as well.
 
When I grow up I want to have toys like you guys!:) life life to the fullest! I am a 26 year old student with a son and just purchased a 2013 1199 (can stop smiling on that bike). Congrats on your purchase of that beast! Pics/videos when it arrives please.

We both have the same bike as you, we are just talking about the Superleggera :)

More to life than just having toys in your garage .

The front fairing is wider, it incorporates those Aero wings instead of making them removable options.

Contrary to Trauma's assumption, the SL fairing will in fact fit a base model.

I don't see the point. If money is of no concern then maybe but, it's just bragging rights. You won't be any faster than somone with skill on a base model.

its not about bragging rights.. that level of bike is what is it costs... it's a lot but not too much...

and a rider will be faster on the SL by quit some distance... till Jorge, Marc or Troy come flying by on a moped...

26 , student, a kid and a 1199? .... damn if living life to the fullest is your goal, you really didn't miss your start, now did you...
