Congrats, I kept going back and forth on the S vs Tri... Ducati had to get RED...I really like what the Tri comes with and think overall a better package. Enjoy, I have heard they are really hard to come by...

Just back off riding in Socal... CHP pulled me over, checked it out and let me on my way....

Thanks Saleen823. What reason did the CHP give for pulling your over. As an aside, Irronically, I am a life member of the California 1199 foundation.

Apparently he was behind me when I was crusing around 80mph, He said the tried to get my attention, but never looked in my mirrors. He said I was making him look bad, so he had no choice but to pull me over...Nice guy, said he had a Ducati and agreed the mirrors are worthless, just told me bring it down and let me on my way...

Congrats on your new ride. Like others, I thought I had to have a red Ducati but once I saw the Tri in person I was hooked.

Question on the passenger pegs. Can you remove them? It was communicated to me on several occasions that it was not possible to put them on once the full system was installed. This is obviously not true but I'm curious if the pegs will remove and re-install as easy as with the stock system.

** REVISED ANSWER **

Hi SoonerNation, You can normally remove the passenger pegs no problem, however if you have them installed with the full Termi' system then you *will* have to remove the full exhaust to take the pegs back off.

Gratz on the amazing bike! Tasteful upgrades, looks fantastic. And re: the pegs, I feel like no one has to apologize for setting up a bike the way they want and I'm looking forward to seeing a tricked out Tricolore with a stunner on the back flying around SF. Picked mine up a few weeks ago, have about 300 miles on it. Looking forward to meeting you in the Bay Area!

And not everybody realizes HOW old (cough-Mark) :D

actually i know its old i never commented on it. obviously i know cali has a tri and has had it a while cause he gave me ideas for my bike. i wasn't here when this was originally posted

he also did a lot more work to his tri as you can tell by all his pictures titled bike porn which is also an old thread. does that mean you cant comment on it.

And ya know what. These old posts popping up help us new members. Now, does anyone know of this can be done with the updated heat shield and the full termi

I did ask a question related to this thread. As the OP stated he had the pillion pegs on with the aftermarket Termi. My question was if he thought could work with the updated heat shield.

The passenger pegs can be made to work with the updated heat shield. I posted a video of the new heat shield with passenger pegs to the forum some time back.

You will need to cut the new heat shield to make the passenger pegs fit. In addition you can remove the heat shield by removing the head stock bolts as opposed to removing the exhaust system.

Trust this helps.
