Stay.away.from. Carbon fever. Got my front piece under the wind screen that goes around the dash. No where close to fitting. Literally impossible to mount the bottom holes are way to close together. If you stick the stock one on it slides right into place. This one just stops and just no. Don't waste your time. This is why I don't shy away from shift tech.

That really sucks to hear I can't speak for any of the other parts Alex sells besides the undertail and solo cowl. Those pieces fit perfect but sounds like the nose piece is way off. When it comes to real critical pieces yeah CDT or Shift Tech.

I am hopeful that my electronic holders from Alex will fit nicely...

It's definitely a hit n miss with fitment on certain parts from the suppliers. I just tried installing my CDT manifold and manifold cover they didn't fit at all.

Yeah it's the one with the coolant reservoir so long story short I know Carbonvani makes descent stuff but this thing has been tons of work. I had to grind, add carbon, tweak mounting points and add spacers to make this thing fit. Definitely a big $$$ part and very time consuming that's for sure.

Could you elaborate on what carbon you had to add? I am considering getting this item myself, but if I have to order more stuff for it to fit then I'll reconsider. I have no problem with grinding, tweaking and spacing things to fit, but to add carbon that would be a bit much imo.

Bear in mind that CarbonWorld in Germany do not make their own stuff, they sell Fullsix and Carbonvani parts, the latter of which are generally poorly made, inaccurate (made ever the more obvious when you come to fit their products) are thick and relatively heavy compared to Fullsix and the weave is often inconsistent. Compared to Lieb Speed, Carbonvani parts are fit for the bin, period. Also noteworthy is that not all dealers bother to do their research properly, for example Design Corse sell a number of parts such as the Panigale V4 carbon nose fairing claiming it will fit a V4R when the part in question is designed for a 2018-2019 Panigale V4/V4S whereas the R has a wider nose fairing. If you are going to charge £300 for a part you should know this basic information.

The Carbonvani radiator holder needs lots of stuff done to make work. Up on top where it mounts to the airbox the mount tabs are about 1/4" off in both directions means lots of grinding and adding material if you want to use the stock mounting spacers/grommet's. The coolant resorvoir leaks as well.

Not all carbon is equal, Ive seen carbon parts for sale that are obviously wet layup (not prepreg) which can be ok but not usually an indication of high quality. There are two reasons to get carbon parts, form or function. If its form, may as well get carbon stickers IMHO, if it's function then you either want improved strength, less weight or both. Unless you have deep pockets the stock plastics are superior to average carbon facsimiles, you have to spend a lot of money to get a weight advantage. Where you really get the benefit is in replacing metal parts with property engineered carbon but for most people a lithium battery and replacing the stock pipes is way better bang for buck. There is a reason the Superleggera costs so much.

Hmh. Would you buy it again if you were to build a second bike?
How much is the leak?

Yeah, I already have the battery and full Akrapovich.
I buy carbon parts because I think it looks better. A lot of places I don't have carbon aswell, since I think the original looks better. Disagree with the sticker thing, non of the once I have seen seems real. Also one actually save some tiny bit of weight. Not that it matters, bit it's cool to know that it's a small improvement. It's all about the small improvements. Got a lot of them and they become a big change. Regarding quality of Carbon I only have Ducati Performance and Fullsix, and in my opinion they are really good wrt quality. Thanks anyway for the answer.

I would never buy another one had to put 15-20 hours of work into it to fix it, clean it up and re matte clear it. It originally leaked so bad all the coolant would be gone in a few days. One of the bikes currently has a WSBK radiator so will be converting the other soon so this Carbonvani radiator holder will be up for sale soon.

Not surprised to hear this. I bought some seat fairing panels for my 1299S a few years ago and they were truly appalling. The funny part is the owner gets very defensive when you call him out on his quality and fitment issues. His front subframe for instance for that same model is known to be a pig to fit as all the holes are mis-aligned. Not acceptable on parts at that price point. Personally, as I have said, I would always give his parts a very wide berth and spend my money on better options.

The sticker thing is a bit of a joke, Im really saying that bling for blings sake does not appeal to me. There's a lot that goes into making accurate well engineered and finished carbon parts, the equipment and consumables for any serious production run is expensive. I can make pretty much anything I want out of carbon (except wheels!) but for one offs, Id rather buy a part but id expect it to be lighter than stock, stronger and perfectly finished for its intended function if I was coughing up for it though! There is a whole industry devoted to making crappy bike parts out of carbon purely because of the look so buyer beware.
