I love this type of talk also. First, I'd like to say, we are talking about two different types of guys here. Just think, you go to any country and watch MotoGP and the fans love Rossi, why? when they have a hometime hero in the race also that may or may not be doing well. Its because Rossi is not only talented and "maybe" the best ever on a bike, but he knows how to play to the PEOPLE and advertise his BRAND. Stoner, just races and goes home, no frills, no huge celebrations by jumping in ponds, going in port-a-potties, etc. So, its natural that people will magnetize to Rossi, Hey I love Rossi also. I also love Stoner and his riding abilities. But, I dont think its fair for people to talk bad of Stoner just because he's not as flashy and all about Stoner BRAND like Rossi is. If you think for one bit Stoner is not fast or gifted as Rossi, then YOU ARE SIMPLY SMOKING (and I dont mean fast) ... To be able to tame that Ducati, as he did, and ride that thing on the limit was nothing less than magical. But, I do think Rossi and crew will figure things out and also show once again that he's probably, the best of all time on a motorbike.
