I removed the exhaust and have these two pieces that look like isolators. two thick pieces of rubber

I'm now having issues with how the bike runs and I paged through the service manual and don't see them mentioned any where

can someone please tell me where they go

please and thank you

Could be wrong but they look like rubber mounts that hold the heat shield in place, located directly under the riders seat. Can't see any reason they would affect the running of the bike.

More likely one of the 02 sensors is loose if you've had the exhaust off, that's where I'd start.

They are part of the exhaust loop heat shield stock installation. Not sure where the washer comes from. Ought to remember, as I have only just finished stripping my 1299S down, but hopefully this may help you.

thanks guys that's deff not my issue

you think a loose o2 sensor would cause it?? that doesn't make sense to me

Loose o2 sensor would cause the bike to run rich. Or a poorly tightened flange. Basically any exhaust leak really, as it will draw air and give the o2 sensor a false lean reading causing the ECU to compensate.

Im going to check the o2 sensor, but o2 sensors are not normally active at higher rpm's under high load which is when im having the issue

with and the o2 sensors are checked as inactive,

but I did not have the one for the front cylinder in the pipe. Im going to put it in tonight and see if that helps

this has been frustrating to say the least

I would start eliminating variables starting with the Woolrich tune. Return it to stock and see what happens.

I did, multiple times, lol

ill put the sensor back in and see if it helps

i have spare sensors if one of yours might be broken. lemme know and i put it in a box for you

What mods have you done? Did you clean the air filter when the tank was off?

Yeah that rubber piece is supposed to be in top of the o2 cable so it does not get pinched or chafed on the subframe. The washers mount to the exhaust shield from inside the subframe.

figured it out...exhaust valve was stuck closed, wtf

finally can get working on tuning and flashing this beast 182/96 with stock ecu and exhaust valve open all the time
