"Check engine light comes on. .. bike just shuts off. I turn it off and restart and it runs fine for about 20 seconds then repeats. Ever heard this issue?"

Engine wise it has a RapidBike Evo. Great point, Steve. I guess he should check those connections to make sure that nothing is disconnected, melted, etc. He's put on at least a couple thousand miles since it was installed with much improvement and no problems until right now.

My rapid bike came with a block off device to you can remove the rapid bike module and connect the block-off box so you can keep the wiring in place and then it should just use the current ECU maps etc. This is a good way to see if the problem is with the RB module or not.

So did this ever get sorted out? As an owner of the 899, I would be interested to know what the problem was caused by...

Thanks for the replies. Yaman Turan (USA RapidBike importer) overnighted him the bypass module to see what happens. He should get it today. Will update when he tries it.

He still has the problem , with or without the module so he is going to have to get it checked at a dealer.

I was hoping that an error code on the display menu would indicate what the trouble was.

Got it all figured out. It was a sensor that controlled the throttle body shutting the bike down with zero throttle response. Had nothing to do with rapid bike module. Just bad luck on a sensor. Thanks for posting on my behalf jeffd.

Here's the bike, finally completed with all aftermarket parts.

And one more big thanks yturan of cyclepro. He was kind enough to lend me the bypass which he didn't have to do. Thanks again buddy.

YTURAN and the Cycle Pro/Rapid Bike team are top notch people!!!! When I chose people to do business with, I look not only at the quality of work but also the quality of person.

Hell if it wasn't for them, I probably wouldn't own a Ducati today. That's my son sitting on YTURAN's Panigale in my profile pic. My son's smile is what convinced me to try a Duc. He never smiled like that on my Ninja...

I've been having an issue and heard you could read codes. I have a 2012 1199 and asked on another thread how to access them. But no response. Is it possible on my bike and how do I bring the codes up?

Do you have a rapidbike on your bike ?
