Howdy guys. Havent been on here in a while as I've been doing triathlons this summer. Anyhoo got back on Sofia a couple of weeks ago to find my clutch lever would allow me get the bike in nuetral from 1st or 2nd. Weird. So I did a little clicking on my crg carbon levers to open the lever a bit wider and that was fixed. Bike finds nuetral ok.

Coincedentally my cruise control from my tuneboy stopped working entirely. I doublechecked my "config options" in my software and all looks good for the cruise control, nudge buttons, and quickshifter. I even reflashed a few new trim files. All went ok but still no cruise control.

I emailed Emma at TB and she actually responded and told me to check my clutch and brake switches. Can those go bad???!? The clutch and brakes work fine and the brake lights work. Not sure if the tiny switches can cause issues or could that weird clutch lever event have done something??!?

For the TB guys in here, the "cruise control preflight check" tests ok.

TIA :)

Try uploading the map and trim file again.

There are a few guys on this forum that have had problems with their clutch switches. Like anything mechanical, mechanical switches especially, dirt and debris can foul things up.

Thanks man. I reloaded the tune and trims and no luck. Brake switch works since the tailight comes on when either lever or pedal is pressed. How can I test the clutch lever switch?? TIA.

Put the bike in gear kickstand up and try to start, it shouldn't. Now pull the clutch and if it starts the switch works..

If it starts both times. Or doesn't start both attempts. I would check the flexible metal piece that engages the clutch switch to check if it is somehow engaging or not engaging the switch.

You should be able to follow the wiring and check it with a multimeter where it connects to the main harness.

Does the preflight check show that the clutch switch is working?

Is cruise not engaging while riding or are you just checking that it blips while at idle?

Thanks. Forgot about that simple test. Clutch switch works correctly!! This is a head scratcher.

Preflight check program says both clutch and brake switches work. Values change correctly on screen. I'm gonna check the nudge buttons register correctly in a/f target screen in tb trim program. The bike doesnt blip at idle but cruise will engage at speed by pressing the start button for 5secs. Then after tapping the brake it disengages and I can't get it back on. The resume function button is not resuming the bike haha. Maybe something is up with my nudge buttons??!?

Could be. I'm not using the nudge buttons on my setup. Sometimes my bike with do the idle blip, sometimes it won't. Cruise works as it should.

Haha yea ok. So I won't worry about the blip. How do you resume uour speed without nudge buttons? Or how do you reset the cruise to the new speed you want after a brake tap? Sorry for the basic question, but I'm at work and don't have access to my TB pdf. Tia.

Not sure about the resume but all I do to reset it at a new speed after I have pulled the clutch or brake is push the start once

If I need to slow down, I just tap the front brake and verify that the cruise control is off, then brake as necessary. When I want to cruise again, I just set it again with the start.

If I need to pass, I just twist the throttle, make whatever lane changes/moves I need to, then close the throttle. The cruise control will automatically pickup where it left off when the speed slows to where it was set.

Well I found my problem! Not the brake or clutch switches, but a gd melted connector in the nudge button sheath lol!! Maybe from the headlights??!?! This harness ran around the front of the forks around to o2 sensor. Weird. Rigged it up nice while I get some new buttons. All is working as advertised again, woohoo!!!
