Ok, I apologize for committing a thread to dumb little mirror block offs but I couldn’t find a lot of info on here relating to the problem I’m having. Just received the Corse Dynamics mirror block off kit and I’m about to lose my mind. I’m by no means a cheap ..., but after dropping $70 on two small scrap pieces of metal, the mounting screws that come with the block offs aren’t even long enough to get the threads started. I even pulled the rubber spacer out from between the wind screen and the fairing and I can barely get one thread to start on one of the bolts and the stock bolts are too long. Reallllly? Please tell me I’m doing something wrong. If not, I’m completely disappointed. How in the world do you mess something up like this???? I'm about to send these back along with a little treat from Chuck the bull terrier....yes doo doo butter!

Stock windscreen. I once again tried compressing the fairing/windscreen together and the supplied bolts are still shorter than a midget on his knees (my apologies to all our 1199 midget riders out there)G

hmm, mine worked without a problem. I'm not in front of my bike but I don't remember any issues with it.

I had the same problem. Took the rubber spacers out but wasn't happy about it so I ended up just going to the hardware store and getting some longer bolts so I could put the spacers back in. I wasn't too happy about it either.

Yesterday I sent Motowheels a detailed email about the issue to include a close up photo of the bolts laying next to a ruler. Motowheels' simple reply word for word was, "We've sold over 300 of these and haven't had any issues." f it

Great customer service Motowheels! Wrong

Haha. Why are they on your .... list because you don't know what you're doing? Should they send someone to your house to install them for you?

What did you do with the wires? There is obviously something amiss with your approach.

I tucked the wires.....among other things. Well, sometimes I use masking tape so it doesn't rip too much hair off.

I have the same plates with the taller screen and have no issues at all - I wonder if they sent the incorrect parts?

did you tuck in the plastic plug ends for the turn sigs, ie did you push them down far enough so they wouldn't keep the pieces from coming together?

WOW! What awesome customer support and service. Because they sold a WHOPPING 300 of these there is no way that there could be a problem with the product. Hmmm. I guess it would put them out of business to send you another set that they verified are proper and then assist you with any potential fitment issues.

Not that I would buy these overpriced things anyways but hearing how they blew you off makes me say 'pass' on buying anything from them in the future. There are too many other vendors and supplier that really want to your business. Vote with your dollars I say.

If this were me I'd pack the things up and send them back addressed to the general manager with a nice letter explaining how 'satisfied' you are with there support.

sorry, but we still don't know if the kit was wrong or the OP installed it incorrectly as apparently a number of people have replied they installed without issue.
