Well, the guys at Guhl Motorsports cracked the ECU and slapped a mid-pipe on one, here's the results. Pretty close to a H2R.

and look at that flat torque curve...

? Isn't H2R over 300 rwhp?

For anyone who hasn't tried Kawasaki's Ultra 300 jet ski, go do it - huge fun, and you can actually use that power

225WHP is impressive but did I miss something the video says 243WHP??
Is there a conversion factor or something??

My goodness... That power curve is about as linear as you can get. I find it impressive what a computer tune can do for all of these current machines.

They're just de-restricting the butterflies, it's not that complex.

What's a shame is how most of these machines are neutered from the factory now. I think it's bs you buy a new machine and then have to cough up another grand or whatever to get the potential out of an otherwise stock machine! Aftermarket loves this stuff...

I bet someone could quietly release an exact clone of their WSBK bike, price it at 20k, and people would still complain that it had terrible fueling or that the exhaust system was wrong because the bike has no low end grunt or midrange and is too peaky even though that's exactly what those bikes are designed to be.

People get so enamored with dyno numbers that they forget that lap time is the only true performance indicator for these bikes.
