(First: Apologies if this has been brought up already, but I couldn't find the thread if it has.)

So, I finally got around to playing with the DDA on the R, but I for the life of me can not get the software to work on the new MacBook Pro. When the device is plugged into the laptop (after you enter the rider name, location, etcetera) the error says "A communication occurred while trying to transfer data from the DDA device.". The Prosa website appears to be less than helpful/useful and keeps referencing an instruction manual that I have never seen, or can locate. Am I alone in this whole Ducati Data Acquisition/Apple problem?

I installed parallels desktop on my mac book pro. then installed windows XP on parallels and run it as virtual machine. under XP I installed the prosa win version.

ok, it's ugly. but at least it works fine.

I run the DDA software on my Macbook Pro with no problem. There are 2 programs, the DDA Listener and the DDA Analysis. You have to run the Listener program, and then plug in the DDA to the USB port. That should kick off the download of the file, and it gives you the options to either leave the file on the USB stick or to delete it, and then it will automatically open the DDA Analysis software so you can look at the data.

Hmm. I open the Downloader, plug in the DDA (which sees 1 of 1 runs), I enter who rode, where the trip was and the destination folder, click "Start Download"...then the error happens. It reads "a communication occurred while trying to transfer data from DDA device. Reconnect the device and retry the operation." I click the "OK", try again, but it gets to the same point and then gives the same error each time.

I have since found the installation instructions on the Prosa site, but did not see anything special for Mac. I'm stuck.

Hmmm.... don't know, that's exactly how I do it and it works fine so must be some kind of technical problem with the install on your MAC or ?? Maybe try submitting a technical support request on the Prosa site. It's kind of buried in there, but if you log in and click on the technical problems area, and select the option that says your problem has not been solved by the FAQ's there's a page where you can submit a support request.

Try restarting the mac. You may not realize it, but the damn thing works so well it never gets shut off. Doing that every now and again sorts everything out.
