Honest fear??? Fear would be shifting my body weight entering a corner, accidentally hitting the shifter (and depending on the sensitivity of these systems) grenading a motor...

I enjoy downshifting, mastering throttle blips, etc. I'm not competing for titles or money, but I can see why some find this appealing or it may shave a few tenths-seconds off their best lap etc etc.

I'm sure this will be introduced on more street bikes in the coming year(s)

you're right....hopefully 2015 -- at that point, "try it, you may like it" :)

I would like Peter to release a version of the Techtronics CABS system for the 1199. It was one of the first things I inquired about when prepping my duc. I've used his product on yamaha race bikes and it works extremely well. i think the yamaha unit retails for $300ish.

The tuneboy setup doesn't seem like a bad deal if you are already using it for mapping.

Good luck

Hey jarelj

Are you going to go a step further on this? Or are the comments on this thread too disappointing for you :(
I checked with one of the well known german dealers about the Tuneboy blipper solution. Since I do not have Tuneboy installed yet it would cost me 1350 USD, only material without work!!!
I really would love an alternative way, since I only want a blipper and no ECU remapping.

wait on ducati......it should hopefully be available stock :) (doesn't hurt to wish for it)

I'm not sure whether the 1299, the 1199R or both will have it next year. But I'm pretty sure that upgrading a 2012 Tri or an SL will be impossible. At least I can't remember that Ducati offered this kind of electronics upgrade in the past, but please correct me if I'm wrong!
And buying a new 1x99 in 2015 is not my goal. To be honest I fall a little bit in love with the H2R pictures. But I haven't seen this monster "eye-to-eye" (don't worry, I'll always be loyal to Italian brands :), but they are simply to costly for me to track them, because I tend to follow gravity).

Yes, the product is coming for sure, the vendor just wants to get a feel for how big of a production run to plan for, which will also affect the pricing. So far there is a lot of interest in an external downshift blipper solution that does not require the ECU changes that the TuneBoy system does.

Will there be a DQS up/down clutchless shifting remap or ECU flash for our 1199s to get the 1299 technology?

Any idea on the quality of the wiring harness? I know that sounds dumb but I am all about details/quality......I don't wanna pay $1000 and get a cluster f&*K of wires wrapped in hockey/elec tape

New TuneBoy QS with auto blipping is cool! Need to fine tune it but it's fun. Changing my style a bit too. Highly recommend it. Once you can get the effing TuneBoy software to work that is lol. That's another thread haha.
