Don't mind me. I'm just a little jealous. Although I always wished I had picked up an RC51 back in the day. The Nicky Hayden one, not the black. Oh well.

This is beautiful bike! if you ever run out of space and want to me store some of those let me know :) I promise won't put more than 100miles on them :)

HAHA!! you're welcome to ride or try any of them. These bikes are all meant to be ridden. I'm not a collector. Just a moto nut like the rest of us. It'd be a shame if they never saw the light of day. I try and ride them all as much as I can but more often than not life pulls me in a different direction with kids and family and work.

If anyone is ever in the area I'm happy share the experience on some of these bikes that are becoming less and less common.

You seriously have 2 RC30's?

Just picked up my second one.

This will be the third RC30 I've had the privilege to own. the first one was a gem. 4,500 mile 100% stock example. I was an ..... and sold it 4 years ago. Been kicking myself ever since.

About a year ago I found one in great condition that was also stock but had 17K miles on the clock. I wanted one I could ride and experience and not worry about the miles. Sent it down to Jim Granger in LA who is the expert on these bikes and he went through it with a fine tooth comb. Replaced everything that needed attention and brought her back up to the standards I was hoping for.

Here's a short vid of that bike.

The one I just acquired has just 3K miles on it and it's as clean as they come. It's with Jim right now and he's doing his thing with it. Once it cleaned up and fully serviced I'll be getting it back. This one likely won't see much road time, but my other one will be ridden as much as possible!

KMY's entire bike list is serious!

Yours ain't half bad either. I have an SC that I love but it's no Paul Smart!!

Congratulations once again Kevin. Great find.

I need to get a pick of them all lined up, but it's a bit of a pain to do.
I did clean out the garage the other day and snapped a few pics. It's not the full grouping, but as good as I could manage. I may have posted this one before.

Double O - Haha!! I've definitely been called worse! Come by and see me one of these days. I'm happy to share the collection :D

If you were close, I would. FOR REAL lol

Mannn the wheels on the RC30 are gorgeous in white. That bike is just nice period! Then again, so is the RC45. Wait a minute......the dragster is an RC. Ahhhh, I get it now. You have an addiction to RC modeled anything lol is there such a thing as an ugly RC anything?

Now that I am living in Bay Area, I will need to come by and meet you at one of the club meetings.

Hi KMY,

I currently live in Australia and am seeking adoption.....interested?:D

So how is the RC going? Come on, I want info! RC or do I wait for the Euro 4 RR?

I'll chime in.

I only have about 90 miles on mine so far and no aggressive riding yet but still able to get a good feel about the bike. The first obvious thing is riding position. Being that it is an upright seating position, I feel like I can ride the bike forever and not get fatigued. I haven't leaned it over much but the pegs definitely feel like they would scrape on a good leaning corner. Just a very different feel to it compared to a sportbike.

Next, I'll talk about the up n down quickshifter. I rode ScrapperX's 1299 before he got the R and played around with the quickshifter n loved it, almost enough to pull the trigger on the module for the 1199 but I never did. The dragsters up n down clutchless shifting is like butter! Superrrr smooth without any jerkiness and it is extremely easy to find neutral, regardless if the bike is sitting or if you're actually riding it and approaching a stop light. Definitely the smoothest gearbox I've ever had on any bike I've owned.

Suspension. It is pretty stiff for city commuting. I'm sure it works great through twisties n track but I'd say it is stiffer than my 1199 with Ohlins. I'm definitely going to have it setup properly but for now, I'll deal with it.

Braking. The levers feel like a brick compared to the spongy feel of the 1199. Bites hard and locks down. That definitely took some adjusting since I'm so used to the 1199. Nonetheless, they are fantastic and have great feel once you get used to it.

Electronics. I have yet to play with the electronics and have just been riding it in the default sport mode without any changes to it since I purchased the bike. This is on my to do list.

Throttle. There is almost no slop like on the 1199. I have the 1 of the 2 spacers installed on my 1199 so the slop is almost completely gone but even still, the dragster at low speeds to me is kinda jerky in city commuting, more so than my 1199 is but with some more consistent seat time, I'm sure I'll get used to it more n more. Using different bikes makes it more difficult to get used to the changes from one bike to another but I'd rather have that than a lot of slop.

Power delivery. It is very linear, even from a complete stop. The 1199 is like a rocket at 7500-8000 rpm, almost like a turbo spooling up but the dragster isn't like that at all. Power delivery is very consistent throughout the rev range.

Mirrors do vibrate slightly but nothing like the 1199. It is still useful and has great vision, not only to my side lanes but also right behind me in the same lane. The only sucky part is that the bar with the mirrors on it are so wide that it makes lane splitting very difficult but I'll deal with that since the riding position is sooooo comfortable.

Lastly, engine heat. Dragster gets hot! Maybe not as hot as my 1199 but it still gets hot in stop n go traffic. Since it is a naked bike, it cools down pretty quick once you get moving but the heat is definitely noticeable once the bike gets up to temp.

Overall, the bike is a looker. People have no clue what it is and constantly wanna know what kind of bike it is and how nice it looks, etc. I'm more than satisfied with the bike since my purchases are based more on looks than performance. For city commuting, I'm almost certain that the dragster will almost always be my go to bike. I'm sure KMY can probably give some more specific feedback since he has owned a dragster before and more seat time than I have.

Double, that's a great review after only 90 miles! I really don't have a ton to add :D

I put about 4K miles on my Dragster RR and now about 600 on the RC.

It remains my favorite bike to ride and the one I find myself grabbing the keys for more often than any other. It just does everything so well. It doesn't have the grunt of the Panigale R, but I really don't use all that power often and don't miss it 99% of the miles i ride. The riding position is perfect.
It's plenty fast enough, great transmission, brakes and electronics. I feel totally in control of the bike unlike the R which I feel like I'm always managing. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the R. It's an insane machine, but for daily riding the RC is the pinnacle for me.

I really love the graphics of the RC. MV seems to have worked out all the gremlins of the prior Dragsters and it's been a glorious 600 miles thus far. Similar to Double, I do feel like this bike has a presence that eclipses even the R. Lots of looks and thumbs up.

Candidly I've been spending less and less time on the newer bikes lately and riding some of my older machines more. These analogy bikes have so much character and they are a hoot to ride. I love the unique character of each and they also sound, handle and accelerate different.

Took out the 888 and 916 SPS today. The SPS really impressed me. I picked up this 1997 version a few months back and just got it serviced with new rubber. Didn't get a chance to do much more than about 10 miles today but it was a joy to ride. I believe very few 1997 SPS's were brought in the US (something like 50?). Much more rare than the 1998 916 SPS and later versions. The '97's were all Euro bikes and track only. A few owners managed to register them state side. This one I bought from the original owner.

Hope everyone is getting some good seat time. Love this forum and all the great people on it. Ride on!

Speaking of "OLD" machines, I'm not sure how many on this forum are into vintage cafe bikes. The first motorcycle I ever got a ride on was a 1978 CB750K that my uncle bought new almost 40 years ago. I fell in love on that first ride and was hooked on moto's ever since.

He passed away from cancer last year and gave me that bike which he held onto all these years. It had just 2K miles on it. I had a vision for it. Sent it to my builder and 5 months later this is what came back. Needless to say it's the most prized bike in my collection. He was born on August 13th and his favorite number was lucky 13!

Love you Unc!

What a wonderful collection you have! If you live around the city (SF), please come out to the monthly SF BADOC event at Pier 23 Cafe.

I am sure everyone will love to drool over your bikes. (The fish&chips isn't half bad but the company is excellent)

So great that your uncle chose you to pass the bike on to.
