Dry Clutch tool? Just use the impact? 2019 V4R

Hi everyone. Quick question here. I own a 2019 V4R and I am about to swap out the dry clutch plates. When I reassemble, I need to torque the center nut to 190Nm. I know some guys simply "burp" that nut tight with an impact (which I own) but I'm slightly hesitant to do that. (Am I being overly cautious?) Ducati offers a clutch hub nut tightening tool (PN 889450092) for roughly $160.
I see some far less expensive Amazon ones that are more of a universal style that resemble vice-grips but I'm not sure if anyone has tried something like that.
Has anyone used anything other than the OEM Ducati tool on their V4(R, SP, SP2, etc.) to hold the dry clutch assembly while torqueing the hub nut? (Or does everyone just use the impact to run it on?)
Thanks in advance to everyone for your advice/feedback!

You can get crafty with what you have. Any long belt or strapping if done in the correct direction will self tighten and hold the basket. There are some youtube videos out there. I did the ratchet strap on mv agusta for clutch plate replacement.

Of course, buying tool is the right way.

Now I have to find this damn thing! Anyone have any ideas or care to sell me this tool? PN 889450092

I just use impact

Same as rear wheel nut - no point torquing it to 200+nm if you change tires too often

Thanks for the cross reference. These tools are all backordered for both Ducati AND Triumph. Aaaarrggghhhhhh!

U use the STM tool also along with the basket tool. You may want to also get that tool for the basket when it needs replacing.

That’s a good point. I’m assuming the basket is good with it only having 3k miles on it but we’ll see right? I will definitely get that tool though! Many thanks!!

@Danger Close MFG that dry clutch basket can be changed without the basket tool. It pulls right out and drops right in, only clutch tool you need is the 3 prong STM

This is true but it does make it easier to get all the bolts torqued up properly without the basket spinning just locks it place. It's just how I do it, I always like to have the proper tools to make the job as easy as possible. It's the same thing as you as the stm tool. Do you really need it? No you can use a impact but I wouldn't trust that. But I know a few guys that use that only.
